@hagblay hank sr. was waylon's musical idol growing up.imo waylon is more expressing hank jr.'s influence on country music because as waylon say's"hank jr. lived".thus bringing more of a musical legacy.hank sr. only recorded for a short time,3 yearsw i think,and never had the chance to grow musically as he aged.if you listen to waylon interviews and to his songs you will see waylon had the deepest respect and admiration for hank williams.

come on now waylon, I know your tryna be modest and all you gotta look at it this way Hank Sr. was old timey, you didnt do songs like Hank Jr. did back then or people thaught you were the devil, Hank Sr. didnt have the time to write as many songs as Jr, Hank Sr. paved the way for Jr. and many other country gold artists, if he had more time on this earth he would of been the greatest of his time

I agree,, I have a high respect for Hank Sr and love his sound and style. He was the Cast and Hank Jr was the Mold.. Then Hank Jr broke that mold and kicked ass with his own sound and style... Alot of ppl down Hank Jr and call him aragant, But i admire it... He was forced and expected to sound just like his daddy, and got treated bad when he sang his own music. But he didn't care and did what he wanted and still showed the world what he could do and told em all to kiss his ass.. Hank Jr Rocks

I like Jr. but I think Jennings is DEAD WRONG when he said Jr. makes Hank Sr. look like a share cropper. Sorry, but no matter how good Hank Jr. is, he will never be his daddy.

I saw this when it aired. God bless all us southern boys. The drinkin ,Druggin Crazy women and wild times. I'm grateful they and we lived through them. Got some funny stories. Alot of broken hearts.

The only guy I would get drunk with today is my man HANK! Thanks for postin. Keep crankin 'em out HANK, We'll keep 'em turned up.
