I'm looking for the sheet music of the Broadway recording version that Hunter Foster sang. I have the original score but many or the embellishments are quite different. Does anyone here know where I could find it?
I Catherine...how is life down south? Staying sweet I hope. Don't become a diva...theatre does that to talented girls. I am still trucking along. Did a short film last week and I am on my way to get an agent. Good to hear from you. You still on MySpace?
This is one of the first Urinetown videos that I have enjoyed on here. I'm all for 'recreating' the original staging, especially when there are many jokes that come from it. So don't knock recreating choreography - it's done all the time. And it looks a lot better than some of the productions 'concept' - they didn't get it at all. David, you did a great job. I didn't hear a crack on the last note....Kudos!
Thanks bro. I also never saw the original production when I was asked to cover the lead who busted his knee. I took this role after watching his understudy twice. I was called in on Tuesday night and I went in on Friday night. I just did as I was directed. Thanks about the last note...I am my hardest critic...like lost people I am sure.
Why fix something that isn't broken...this is profesional theatre that required paying the actors so you had to make sure the audience was happy and kept coming back...Look at Broadway revivals...
...and also Hunter foster played the character more Korky and like a dork. This Bobby character was much different then the way Hunter did it. But I do agree that it is like the Broadway staging...not the character of Bobby...you know what I mean. Also this vocal riff at the end by Bobby is much different then the way Hunter did it. Hunter also didn't crack on the last note...It happens.

Wow! I'm impressed. That's pretty good for such short notice. I know how you must have felt. I've done that plenty of times in dinner theatre.

Also I never saw what Hunter did until after the video was shot. I just did what they told me to do.
