The theme is great, as is the movie. Never understood all the hatred towards it, but maybe that's because I started out seeing Resurrection before all the other films. It's obviously a lot better than the AVP series, and I personally liked it more than Alien 3. The Dog Alien was badass, but Resurrection seemed more interesting to me, I guess. Plus, I loved the creature effects in this one - but they're all great. Definitely my favorite movie series of all time.
@DasSchwarzeWyrm I totally agree (my favorite will always be the original though). Have you seen the Extended Cut or whatever it's called? It's got a few more scenes of gore and what not. Worth a look if you haven't seen it

Aliens was a kick ass movie, I like Alien 3 but I dont like the fact they killed the majority of the characters remaining from the last film, did think it was cool in its own way.

Thankfully Ridley Scott is back at the helm. Then perhaps we can all forget that they even made AVPR.

i like the main idea... it´s the logical extraploration of the alien story: what would mankind do with such a perfect alien race? they´d experiment around: try to tame them, try to create hybrids. imagine the technology & biology some hundreds of years from now, and how easy it would be to escape any existing law (altering human dna; using humans as hosts for aliens, etc) in outer space

They should have kept to the story line of the books. Would have introduced new main characters and they could have released so many more films :(
