  • I first played this game in 99 when I was just a kid and thought it was the coolest thing ever, I would watch this vid whenever I started the game; I never skipped it. I used to spend countless hours playing this and trying to make my cities perfect.

Now that I'm 24, I decided to buy the game again from GoG and it brings back a lot of memories.

  • Ah, such a good memories..

  • yeah mixing with barbarian, like germanics and celts, was indeed the reason we fell.

    thats NOT an irony lol

  • so nostaligic... jizz

  • One of the best City Building games. So good game. I'm still playing Caesar III. I just love this game, build your army, defend your City, keep Gods and Caesar happy.

  • Great Intro to a great game.

  • i was so obsessed with the intro (especially the battle scene) , i could never skip it when starting the game

  • @KissMyBlade we should be lovers =P

  • does anybody know how to get this game thru internet???? i've looked for it for ages!

  • @iPamPam No, but if you want I can tell you where to get Caesar IV.

  • @iPamPam the pirate bay =)

  • in my opinion one of the best trailers in the history of pc games !

  • LOVE IT!

  • That elephant...0:50...very painful!

  • pharaoh's intro was more inspiring...

  • NEED.... ROADBLOCKS... PLEASE...

STUPID HOUSING BLOCK I DIDN'T WANT YOU TO BECOME PATRICIANS!

DAMN, NOW MY CITY'S SHORT 500 WORKERS AND EVERYTHING IS BURNING DOWN... GREAT...

  • hahaha what a fantastic game this was ;) but now i go for Caesar 4 :P

  • Fucking good music

    Fucking good nostalgie

    Fucking good Game :')

  • Man i just love that music!

  • my favourite moment is battle with carthagininians in 0:45

  • Wish I could find this game some where. I haven't played it in like 10 years but along with Age of Empires this was one of my favorites.

  • @Antiworld23 Just type in Caesar 3 megaupload, or rapidshare

  • When I was small and dad played, the music made me cry. =P

  • 1:07 Boudica reference?

  • @Wykletypl yup :D

  • @Wykletypl yeah I suppose. never notice that.

  • And pick the first video.

  • Search : Caesar 3 Lutetia, And enjoy!!!!!!!!!

  • Best strategy game ever. I remember when I killed Caesars Legions time after time.

  • i remember when i was a little kid i watched this intro again and again all the time

    it was so epic

  • Better than the Caesar IV intro

  • Brilliant!

  • I have this game

  • Wow, i played this game about 10 years ago. This brings back memories....

  • the conqueror fights in lust for power, while defender lusts for freedom

  • what a memories

  • MulatovCocktail hey idiot thats not why rome fell it had nothing to do with mixed marriages. and on top of that take a look at the bust of the latins and then take a look at northern italians, pretty similar aren't they.

im not even italian but i hate when ppl do this whole, it wasnt your ancestors shtick

    it was and it is.

  • Being the proud Italian I am this is why I allways say to those who hate on Italians, "I'm sorry my ancesters ruled the world while yours were eating each other like barbarians and pissing on themselves."

  • Present day Italians are not the same people who built the Roman Empire. One of the reasons why Roman Empire fell was that the population became too mixed with barbarian races. Saying that present day Italians created Roman Empire is as accurate as saying that present day Americans created the Indian civilizations. Get your facts straight before you start bragging about your heritage.

  • Your ancestors committed genocide against dozens of nations.

  • Has not cultural Darwinism been the norm throughout history. The Egyptions, the Mongols, the Persians the Greeks. In fact so have Christian crusaders, Muslim Jihadists and Japanese samurai like Buddhist imperial army. I have pride in the accomplishments of my ancestors as I'm shure others do. The bad also comes with the good.

  • so why don't u speak latin asw a normal day language?

    XD

  • 1:24 "Defeated captives became slaves..."

We need to bring that shit back.

  • @kirby4d No fucking doubt. Sure thought those assholes too mess with Rome. :P:

  • they couldnt thwart us..... the scots. hahahahahah

  • looks so kool but i wish they would build egyptian games like this, egyptians were also very civilized.

  • there is one.......

its called pharaoh. its a caesar 3 clone.

  • Actually, Pharaoh is before Ceaser 3...

  • wrong, u cant spell caesaer. your opinion is void.

  • you can't spell caesar either, so your opinion is void too. I love hypocrites.

  • may i just clarify that was a typo, who the fuck honestly thinks caesar is spelled caesaer, fucking IDIOTS FOR TAKING THAT SERIOUSLY

  • It's not a clone if it's made by the same people.

  • ...not really a clone as it's made by the same people.

  • how not?

its almost exactly the same game. the only difference is that buildings and units have different skins.

  • @volound There are a lot of differences. Each game always improved over the previous.

  • @kirby4d there really isnt any

  • @volound No there's a whole lot. Some of the basic concepts and structure are the same, but there are a whole lot of differences in how it operates. Roadblocks exist. Festivals are visible. Trade is more customizable. Warehouses are more customizable. Farming is different with the Nile.

  • @kirby4d i could edit the game myself to make it more different.

  • @volound So? I could edit Earth to make it more different from Mars. Doesnt mean theyre the same.

  • they did, it's called pharaoh. It was actually made by the same exact people a little over a year after this game. Look it up.

  • Nostalgic moments :P

  • barbarian barbie @ 1:01.....yum yum

  • what?????? wtf

  • @LUVTHYHEATHEN ????

  • hehe funny how real time graphics look a lot better now adays than these CG movies from back then :)

  • i like the music in 1:56

  • what an epic game, i love it :D

  • I practically grew up on this game.

I remember sitting in front of my computer chewing on my shirt watching this, getting all pumped up to plan road systems and adjust plebs' tax rates, good times.

  • @Serduun me too.

  • best intro i've ever saw.

  • 1:37 Ancient Bolsheviks lolooll

  • agrres. one of the best games ever. it had some sort of addiction after you played the first 2 stages! im sad to say, but ceaser IV isn't as good as i expected. its 3D and you know... but 3 is the best. unofrtunately, i cant find my dics. maybe ill find at some time.

  • It's the best game I've ever played thanks for this movie !

    Memories...

  • i've got the collection quote fromc2"plebes are needed, plebes are needed", quote from c3"i would'nt mind squeezing denarii from citizens all day long if there was more night life!"quote from c4"all i want is a little piece...a little piece of your town."

  • Yes most likely quantum

  • I never played the game. But this intro video has got to be one of the best detailed and historically accurate 3D animations of the Romans out there.

    Really well done!!!

  • an epic intro to the best city building game ever!!!

  • My God, I used to know this intro off by heart. Thank you for posting this!

  • Yes memories... This game was great.

  • memories .....memories

  • Wow definetley brings back memories, i used to be addicted to this game

  • addicted to it!

  • la madre

  • anyone know why the city was called Rome?

  • Named after its supposed/fabled founder, Romulus.

  • Yeah i Read a little about it, it was something with that Romulus and a brother (or sister) who made another italian city. They both lived of a wolf mother or something like that

  • Remus & Romulus were twin demigod children of Mars (the Roman version of Ares, Olympian god of war). They were separated from their mother, and after washing up on a river bank, were raised by a she-wolf. Eventually, a shepherd found the twins and raised them until they grew up and avenged their mother's death. After that, the twins found out they were fated to found a city, after some contests and Romulus killing Remus in a dispute (over the thickness of the wall furrows), Romulus founded Rome.

  • Doesn't hold a candle to the swedish narrator!

  • Caesar III is best game ewer!!!!!!!!!!

  • awesome love it

  • i love the game, i dont care its old :)
