  • have you ever used those long thin coffee stirrirs?

  • @kevinmeehan71 I tried them, but they're too thin to actually use in stick bombs. They'd probably work fine for herringbone chains, though...

  • Cool!

  • @farjohons Thanks, farjohons!

  • Thanks, coolpixs! The great thing about moving out of my mom's basement is that I can make all the messes I want ;)

  • It uses rubber bands? I need to remake my prototype.

  • I just wish I knew where I could find compression springs in wholesale lots...

  • Thanks, CoDFan, hsapin and yuyuio!

  • nice

  • coolerama

  • Glad ya liked it, bildeau! Clever Levers is a new technique and I'm still working the bugs out of it.

  • WOAH!!!!! How did that work!!!!!?????

  • Basically, each unit is two sticks, some rubber bands for tension, and a large wooden domino as a fulcrum...

  • Wow....it seems so complicated but by that explanation it seems so simple

  • HAHAHA!!!!!

  • Tee, hee, hee!

  • 9622boy--Glad ya enjoyed it! I use rubber bands for the energy source.

  • that was awesome, so the cups r just a tower? and also can you do a close up on the pop sticks that like fly up?

  • Yes, it's a basic post-and-lintel tower made with plastic cups and paint-stirrer sticks. I'm thinking of making a really large 'clever lever' design in the near future that will have better shots of the sticks in action.

  • yay

  • how do u make those sticks fly up?

    but great job

  • Thanks, Cookie and MattieCooper!

  • Awesome!!!!!!

  • cool

  • Glad you enjoy them, Annodomino!

  • Glad you liked it, megaverner! It's my latest invention, a series of rubber-band powered levers that explode in a chain...

  • That was very clever, I have never seen anything like it before.

  • Thanks, ultimatedomino! I have to sort through all my kinetic-art stuff, but I hope to start making large gadgets soon...

  • awsome tecnique look forward to seeing another kenetic art video (a big one)

  • DOdermdoc--Thanks for the compliment! If you get your children supplies for stick bombs, I'd suggest that tongue depressors are much easier for little hands to work with than popsicle sticks, and I also recommend getting them safety goggles as a precaution.

  • Well, I have a good supply of those at the office, so I will use those. Good idea with the goggles, too - Thanks!

  • Fantastic! My children and I love to watch your videos. Now they are all asking for dominoes and popsicle sticks for their birthdays!

  • Thanks, FlippyCat! This is a new technique, 'clever levers', that I haven't done before. BTW, I have a slooow dial-up connection, but I hope to see your Domona Lisa soon--a Mona-Lisa mosaic out of dominoes sounds really cool...

  • Nice! Did you do the stick bombs raised like that before? I don't remember seeing that before.

  • 9622boy, bestpal, and annoyboy95--Glad you guys liked it!

  • Superb!

  • u never fail to impress me !
