  • Ha Ha... these guys played here back in the 80's. wanted my friend and I to go touring on the bus with em... Nasty freaks. I said no thanks.. but my friend went.. Later on they found out she WAS A HE-SHE !!!! I still laff every time I hear this group !!!

  • BOA is still rocking. Jim Dandy is still strutting his stuff and he aint going thru the motions like some older rockers his age. I just saw him last nite and shook his hand!

  • @seymourbbest watch out for crabs :)

  • i have guitar picks from john Roth, which on is he?

  • yeah,I know, spelled Skynyrd wrong. sorry.

  • hillbilly heavy metal? I say that because Skynerd were considered hard rock. and these guys sound heavier than them. also there are no links to other southern rock bands (that I've seen so far) just other hard rock/metal bands. and as far as Roth, copied Jim Dandy? Hell, he practically raped him! another "secret ingredient" of rock bands revealed.

  • This was David Lee's inspiration, and that is ok! Great Balls of Fire, my favorite Album of BOA!

  • I was there at 1980 in a live concert with this great band, there is nothing like listen and watch a band like this LIVE, great music and great show, I don't need drug to stay high!!!

  • I love this Song!

  • Nicely put together!! One of the greatest rock bands in the world!

  • I shot that pic of Jim holding up the cymbal at St Joseph Missouri Civic Auditorium back in '72. It was on my BOA website.

  • JIM DANDY MY MAN BEST LOOKING ASS I'VE EVER SEEN ON A MAN!

  • do you have white headed woman from the keep the faith lp?

  • Take those Black Oak albums out of there. Those two hurt their rep.Jim Dandy and B.O.A,. yes, Make sure they say Black Oak Arkansas!

  • Jim Dandy imitated but never duplicated

  • Comment removed

  • now i seee where david lee roth got it!

  • Cool, I shot that photo of Jim Dandy holding up the cymbal back in '72 at the Municipal Auditorium in St. Joe, Missouri!

  • Original long-haired country boy;voice rough-edged from calling hogs and stuff.

  • I love Jim's bulge and I'm a man :)

  • this is the forgoton southern rock witch is sad becouse they were one of the fonders of southern rock great band

  • I always liked this song and many others by BOA.I have all of the Albums shown in this video.I think David Lee Roth was influenced by Jim Dandy's stage performance and tried to copy him alot.A whole lot.

  • To guitarsandwomen,

Wow, I thought I was the only one that felt Roth copied Dandy's style and mannerisms big time! Way back in 1978 when VH1 first came out, (and even though I never had seen VH live) I instantly thought after looking at Roth's 'bent over backwards' picture on the LP that this guy thinks he's Jim Dandy. Well David can't hold a candle to the original energetic & charismatic stage presence of Big Jim! BOA never got the radio play and recognition that they deserved.

  • Jim Dandy doesn't live very far from here(Fort Smith,Ark)and performed at one of the clubs here in the 90's...

  • You just have to love them! Very mean voice.Love it!

  • I can see the influence on Van Halen And Guns and Roses , Very boogie woogie, guitar solos are incredible.

  • i imagine Mr, Z singinig it !

  • I think alot of bands should take a lesson or two from these guys. Kick ass music

  • BOA is the shit for sure. I met Jim Dandy one time, cool guy.
