thats prolly becuz none of these chords require u to use ur pinky. yo gotta play some barres and modified chords for the pinky to get a good workout

first: Thanks a lot for your lessons. I check out quite a lot of resources on the web, but I always come back to your place in the end. It's fantastic!!

Now a question: Where to put the thumb in chords? Many recommend to place the thumb in the fretboard-middle, especially in scale picking. Now, I see you put your thumb high above the neck in chords, which helps for muting the 6th, but disables me of using my pinkie in an E7, for example. Is there a 'rule of thumb' placement? Thx!

these videos are absolutely amazing. i have had my acoustic guitar sitting in my room for close to three years and periodically i would pick it up and use a book to try and learn for about a week and give up because i couldnt hear it. i couldnt tell if it sounded right and ever since i found the videos (about 2 weeks ago) i have learned alot and look forward to picking up the guitar everyday. you are the best teacher man. thanks alot.
