  • i have a question. when i make a relaxed balled fist i automatically put my thumb between my index and middle finger, i know that it's a mudra but i don't know the meaning. i'd like to know what it means =)

  • хьпьяше

  • try posting the meanings nex time. this vid is only half complete

  • Does this remind anybody else of that hand in the Adam's Family?

  • What is the lotus-turning mudra?

  • could someone transcribe the song Please??

  • @marzgrapevine It is simply "Namo Amituofo" which roughly means "Homage to Amitabha Buddha" or "Infinite light, infinite life, infinite wisdom." Hope that helps!

  • I know no the meaning to life

  • Just curious...Mudras...Have all this originated from India and Hinduism? As Tripitaka or Bhudharma or whoever went to India to discover techniques of meditation to stop his students of the Original Shao-lin temple from constantly falling asleep during meditating?

  • please can you keep your hand full. It is nice, but kind of scary like somebody has cut off that hand. But it is a nice explanation. Thanks

  • looks like a bunch of gang signs to me

  • @kingcow111 Mudras have been around millenniums before gang signs. I guess sign language looks like gang signs to you too.

  • ESTA BIEN CHINGON

  • When someone is filled with devotions, the natural movements are made. How are mudras helpful? Too much concentration may cause lack of devotion? Let me know thanks.

  • TRUDNE TO JEST...

  • na co te gesty pomagają bo nie kumam o co chodzi

  • Beautiful...

Does anyone know a translation to the lyrics in the song?

    Peace~

  • interesting...

do you know about the "9 cuting fingers of ninjutsu" mudras? :)

  • Whenever I meditate I do the 1:19- Boundary Mudra. From the very begining, my experience was quite amazing... lots of vibration, and flashes and bright lights. Now I don't get that anymore. What am I not doing right???

From time to time, I just see flashes like flash light at me. Sometimes when I'm sleeping I experience that quick flashes and sometimes while meditating.

  • Tashi Delek! Tuke je che for this wonderful lesson. Is this from AmitabhaCentre in Singapore?

  • CHOSEN NINJA

  • hi there, i'm not an expert in these mudras and i'd have to refer you to a master at tbsn(dot)org. in general, i think those you mention are for protection.

  • i think im addicted to this song! ahaha!

  • I noticed the same thing over the past few days. I know the moderator has been doing some upgrades in the changeover to a new server. In the meantime you could try tbsn (dot) org which is the original website. Hopefully the other website gets fixed soon...

  • good ...

  • Hello again Raybigto, I wnet to the website but whenever I clicked on a link it directed me to facebook and gave a message stating that the link may have been expired. Any thoughts? Thank you.

  • Hi Raybigto, will send me a link with the information for the meditations for each of the meditational diety's as well and any other information that you think may help someone who is new to this to get them going in the right direction as well. Thank you!

  • @belemsr yes, my teacher who has "opened" up all 7 chakras has good health. I myself am not too familiar with the practice of chakras. my main practices are the 4 immeasurables, 6 paramitas, and offerings of generosity, protection, resorces etc...

  • Hi, raybigto... what is the meaning of each mudra... i do meditation, and without knowing i did lots of mudras in this video... i just dreamed them.... but i dont know their actual meaning... could u tell me??

    lots of pure love waves

  • Hi adrain6699, my Buddhist guru uses mudra together with meditation and mantras to achieve union of body, speech, and mind. This video shows some mudras, and are shown from the aspect of buddhist tantra. For example, each meditational diety will have it's own mudra. I'll email you a link with this info...

  • @adrian6699 There are also mudras of offering which are very beautiful, and as you can imagine, augment the offering practice. So mudras that make the shape of giving, receiving blessings, flowers, water, light, incense etc...

  • Thank you very much!

  • goood

  • When I was 17. I have no knowledge of meditation or mudras. I had this one dream, that I was meditating doing the " Medicine Buddha Mudra" and two elderly men sitting beside me one on left and one on right side of me in meditation mode. I foresee a vision of bright light came down and exploded. Not sure what it was or what it means. Maybe 2012? who knows what will happen.

  • Hi HalfLuck4, It's not easy to find a true guru. I wish you luck in your search. Always validate whoever you meet. There are many lineages with great teachers, but also many fakes too.

  • @HalfLuck4 How old are you now? When I was 17 I saw "Buddha" and "Guan Yin". They were just talking about me and I couldn't understand what they were saying except my name. I started to practice Buddhism when I was 19 in a half, and now I am 22 in a half. I am now practicing ZEN. Normally it takes a person many years of practice to get to ZEN, the highest wisdom of Buddhism.

  • @lihao I am 29. You saw Guan Yin too? when i was 17, I dream about Guan Yin too! She was smiling at me and she spoke to me through telepathy... her words i did not understand the meaning of what she meant? very deep meanings. I saw her by the river and another dream.. she was riding on a green dragon.

  • @HalfLuck4 I saw Guan Yin and Buddha sitting next to each other in the middle of the sky and i was wondering on the ground. I don't remember what they said, but just my name. So, I chose to be a Buddhist. I guess they went into my dream for a reason, maybe I was the chosen one. =P

  • @lihao I considered myself buddhist too. Buddhist way is better for me I think. I think it is up to us; you and I, to find our own happiness. Nothing will make us happy, we find it within ourselves. Guan Yin chose us to be like her. Maybe, in our past life something happened and she is our guidance in this life? what do u think?

  • @HalfLuck4 I agree...I am now studying Zen. Buddhism seem very difficult for many people, but it seems very simple for me. =)

  • @lihao Good. Just don't give up on it. LoL.

One should meditate everyday and in the evening. It really can take your mind of other things and free of stress. I don't meditate much anymore. I have other things on mind. Career and such. When I first started meditation, I get lots of vibrations. And in my minds eye, I see buddha behind me over shadowing me. That was a year ago.

  • @HalfLuck4 One who has high wisdom (that who understand Buddhism), has superpowers. My powers are increasing all the time. I mostly chant and meditate. When I look at someone, I can sense the aura (luck) (health) (karma). I am trying to gain more power to do energy healing. Still working on it.

  • @lihao I used to chant and meditate a lot. Not so much anymore. I think chanting is good. I just started to learn all about chanting and meditation not long ago. About a year ago only and I stopped. I think if I learn more, and do more practice, I can really have superpower.

  • @HalfLuck4 I actually started to have the power when I was 9, but now my powers are getting stronger maybe of meditation or training. A fortune teller said I am protected by ancestor spirits and by Guan Yin. Maybe I was studying Buddhism in my past life, and now reincarnated again as a Buddhist. How is your studying of Buddhism? For me, Buddhism is very simple, it only took me 3 years to fully understand what Buddhism is all about.

  • @lihao when I was 7 or 8, I went up on a tree house where my grandma grow her flower plants and I meditate up there. That was the first initial. And then when I was 9, I wanted to become a nun. I asked my father to buy me yellow robe for me to wear. That never happen. I was so sad.

  • @HalfLuck4 Why would you want to be a nun? I wanted to become a Buddha, but not a monk...maybe when I'm 70 then I will become a monk. First I want to have a family and spread my Buddhism to my family so they can help me spread to the world.

  • @lihao I wanted to become a nun but I refused to shave off my hair. Maybe I do want to become a Buddha. I like to give others advice. I always do.

I think we are on the same page. =)

  • @HalfLuck4 Yeah, I love to help people deal with life problems. How long had you been studying Buddhism?

  • @lihao Just a little over a year. I grew up around monks. Well, I was born in Thailand and I see them around a lot. I had shown interest, but never actually study Buddhism, until a year ago. Because I didn't think it was accessible. Though I have read some books back in high school. I can learn so much from youtube. It's very educational some of the videos.

  • @HalfLuck4 I actually fully understand Buddhism through ZEN. Before, two years ago I was still wondering and clinging to Buddhism and now I let go of it, and practice it on my own way. There was a monk on youtube said "Buddhism is a boat that helps you travel from one place to another, but if you don't step out of the boat, you can never move on, but just staying there." Everything is emptiness, even Buddhism.

  • @lihao I don't know anyone personally, but I did my own study through books and youtube videos. That's how I learn about buddhism and a little about zen. I'm interested in Zen as well. What surprised me was that, meditation help healed my hearing. I was listening to medicine buddha and chanting mantras. That helped a lot. I was going half deaf my hearing was poor. Now my hearing is back to normal. I healed my own self. =)

  • @HalfLuck4 What kind of meditation do you do? What kind of Mantra do you listen to or chant?

  • @lihao Oh I just do the "Boundary Mudra and I listen to the "Medicine Buddha Mantra. Sometimes with sometimes w/out. If you go to my favorites you'll see. I listen to all of buddhist mantras. Meditation itself really help. When I first started meditating, for maybe about a week or so, my ears was popping like bubbles. It got to be very sensitive to noises. I sometimes hear beautiful music or bells while meditating... very lovely music.

  • @lihao do you sense your own luck, health, karma?

  • @lotuskcs I would try my best to improve my karma, i can kind of sense my health and luck. I mostly chant to increase my luck for a period of time. For health, I would use energy barrier or energy healing to protect it.

  • @lihao what is energy barrier or healing? How to do you sense health and luck, is it born natural :sixth sense" or third eye?

  • @lotuskcs energy healing and barrier can be learn. The more calmer the mind, the more powerful the senses will be.

  • @lihao Can u teach me?

  • @HalfLuck4 But I don't meditate for wisdom, I understand the universe to gain wisdom. ZEN.

  • When I first started meditation, my first mudra was the "Boundary Mudra." I've been meditating on and off for about 6 months or more now and I haven't met my spiritual guide yet. Just bright lights and flashes. Now whenever I'm on meditation mode, my energy controls my finger movements. So, now I'm doing the "Amitabha Meditation Mudra." bc my energy wants me to. It's weird.

  • Thank you so very much. I was having a difficult time creating the mandala mudra for my prayers, and your demonstration made it so easy. Many blessings to you.

  • Do you have a download link for this video?

  • @RyanTheEpicFailure mac or PC, for Mac, using Safari, while playing video you command A and and action box opens, look for the MB size that is increasing (as video loads and plays) click that one to download YouTube video

  • Amazing, I thank you from the depth of my being.

  • do you have any maha cundi mantra?

    i really need it thanks

  • try here: padmakumara(dot)org(slash)forum and click on "mantras" it's on the sencond page under Cundi Bodhisattva.

  • thank you very much for uploading this

  • namo amitabha

    om ami dewa hri

  • Thankyou, very nice.

  • mudras stimulate energy chakras in the body and promote health as well as inner peace.

  • 參考相關資料 google 搜索 " 西藏密宗的秘密 " " 藏傳佛教秘密大公開 " " 西藏密宗本質 "

  • Thank you very much for the hand formations.

  • 11.Avalokitesvara

    12.Ksitigarbha

  • thank you so much for this!!!!

  • fliuid fingers, Namu Amida Butsu...

  • Guitarists should practise these too, they give strength and flexibility.

In ninjutsu, there are The Nine Cutting Fingers 九字切り Rin Pyou Tou Sha Kai Jin Retsu Zai Zen, it represents the path to enlightenment.

I love the backround music, it is soothing.

  • its not ninjutsu specifically. the hand gestures come from esoteric buddhism, and are used in religious ceremonies and also some martial arts that are not ninjutsu.

  • @scottrekishika they are ancient vedic techniks long before buddishm and hindu´s

  • 9=the mudra of boundary making

    19=Mudra of food blessing(water)

    21=vajra

    22=vajra net

    23 vajra wall

    24 vajra firewall

    24 and 25= flame lighting

    26 quadruple magical boundary making

  • Great info. Thank you!

  • see sybervision sports tapes where watching experts performing sports movements as golf or tennis swings gives the viewer the expert swing or form imbedded in you quickly so you become an expert ALSO; same with these mudras, doodes

  • simply watching an expert perform causes the mind to mimmick the movement and so too mimmick the inner

    state of that expert...

so watching a tai chi expert can heal you

and watching such mudras can begin to give you the result of the expert performing them ...

  • how do i shoot out the holy beam created by the hand sign?

  • You meditatate a lot mate

  • ok thx

  • you do not shoot out the beam you have to project the light from inside of you.

    how to do that?

look deep inside youself by using the "third" eye.

    Not sure about it ?

ask anyone who have open up their "third" eye.

    cheer!!!!

  • Just showing the mudras without their meanings is pretty pointless. And secret mantra mudras should not be shown to everyone.

  • i respect your comment. thank you.

  • obviously not everyone understands them, just seeing them will not mean anything

  • yea, something muz be done in order to unleash the power.

  • what was shown here is share worldwide, we have nothing to hide.

it take one to understand the inner self then just the surface of the human being once you have reaches that state, maybe i can see you there in the paradise pond

  • with all my respect. Can you explain why these mudras shouldn't have been shown ! is there any danger to test them and just see what's happenned.

  • No, there is no danger in seeing them. It's just that highest yoga tantra is for people who have received initiation, or permission, from their spiritual guide. I was told that tantra will not work without the context of having received initiation from a fully qualified tantric master, and if you try tantra without it, and it doesn't work, you can lose faith; also, you may not be practising correctly.

always rely upon a qualified spiritual guide. :)

  • Namaste

Thanks for your explainations ! I'm guided and i love mudras and mantras ^^ whithout a religion teaching

  • i agree with this , however , if one would be in full conviction that a mudra does work , wouldnt it be only helpfull ? after all , in the end , mudra are just tools to help you gain more spiritual life, or whatever one would desire ..

I mean no offense in any way :)

    bless you :)

  • It's important to receive instruction from your spiritual guide. One tradition's mudras may vary to another's and it's important to keep your particular tradition pure, without mixing.

This video is helpful in that it is getting people to think and talk about dharma. :)

  • i agree also on this comment :)

its true that there is a wide range of variaties on mudra's , so yes , to keep the mudra original /traditional , i agree on the part of a guide .

Also when it comes to the background of the mudra , a guide is needed to explain the why and how .

Thanks for sharing your thoughts on this :)

Again , Bless you all :)

  • Спасибо.Вызывает светлые чувства и уважительное отношение к телу как к храму души.

  • This is interesting.Thank you.

  • Amidha Buddha!

  • :D Thanks for the video.

    Amitofo!

  • i dont get it why bother doings this what does it do for you???? making hand symbols whats the purpose

  • You use mudras during meditation not only to loosen pressure in the joints of the hands but to achieve certain mental states in meditation. Yogis have done it for thousands of years as have buddhist monks, the ninja warriors of japan, etc.

  • thanks for the great answer.

  • these are good for pressure points in the hands.

  • some of these i actually do

  • After the cremation, they found dozens of big and small sariras (Skr.)/ burnt ashes that turned into big and small multi-colored stones, pearl-like beads in all shapes, and its tongue was not burnt to ashes! This is another proof of the powerful Buddhas name recitation.

  • Over the years it gradually change its attitude and Mr. Bai made it take refuge in the Trisarana (Skr.) / 3 Gems; in the Buddha, the Dharma, the Sangha, since it had good Buddhist roots. A few years later, every time guests came to visit the Bai family, Parrot would say: Recite the Buddhas name. Recite well. Hurry up, recite Namo Amitofo, Amitofo, recite now, and so on. Hearing this, some people would feel ashamed of themselves.

  • The strangest thing was, once this parrot entered this Bai residence it stopped pecking, flapping its wings and screaming, unless people tried to tease it or make it repeat insignificant worldly words. Then it would first stare at them angrily and then scream noisily. Otherwise it stayed quiet, listening to the Buddhist chanting, the daily ritual of reading and reciting the Buddhas name. Soon it learned to pronounce words like: Namo Guan Yin Bodhisattva, or Namo Amitabha Buddha, etc.

  • In 1984, in Si-Chuan, China, a man bought a red beak green feathered parrot, and took it to Inner Mongolia where he lived. This parrot had a very bad temper. It pecked even at the hands of its feeder, and for no reason at all it would flap its wings and scream so hard that, in the end, the owner gave it away to the Bai family who gave shelter to animals and birds in distress, to be released later. The Bai family is practicing Buddhists.

  • This all are the same mudra that my Guru uses while invoking. I'm hindu, in tantric tradition. But this is buddhist. Budhism and hindusim are two face of same coin. Actually Budhha redefined hinduism in much more holistic approach.

  • :) Thanks for viewing! Glad to be part of your community.

  • HI, may i know where u get this song? very nice songs. amitabha :)
