Its basically flight which is similar to a real plane..you have more control over it so you wont hit terrain and much plus you can dodge missles in millions of diffrent ways..but its hard to master the dodgeing techniqes

Most people who have mastered pro-flight who I get into dogfights with are a royal pain. Somehow they can keep a homing missile lock no matter how I fly, no matter how many mines I drop in their path, no matter any terrain I duck behind, they've always got a solid lock and can hit me even behind obstacles. It makes me crazy sometimes. And any attempt to turn around to shoot back results in a missile to the face. They must get distinguished air superiority ribbons every game. RAWR! Bastards!

This game, like MANY others, is extremely easy to kill people in. No matter how many hundreds of hours you've wasted playing this game you will still get killed.

I rarely ever play warhawk anymore, I hate what it has become. Bunch of fags with normal flight flying around in cloak laying mines everywhere. That's all it is. This game takes far less competence to play than let's say... Tribes 2... or Chromehounds... or any other game that takes some level of skill to play and become proficient at.

Normal flight is for noobs, sorry. Nothing you say or do to try and justify your claims will be met with failure.

Can you beat me with your 1337 normal flight skills?  Probably. But the bottom line is, you are letting the computer control half of your warhawk's movements when you use normal flight.

There's a reason why normal flight is the default setting, because it's easier to start out with. It makes all of the maneuvers easier. Stop lying to yourself.

Actually, I know exactly what menuver InfinitiveCreations is talking about. It takes about half a second and works 95 to 105 percent of the time. You can see in the video that the guy never acutally EVADES a missle, he uses chaffs. I NEVER use chaffs, and I'm willing to bet InfinitiveCreations doesn't need to either. Along with that, there's a satisfying beeping noise that you can hear if you actually evade a missile that comes from the radar that means that you've shaken it successfully.

Pro mode has a couple great advantages: More fun to fly in and you can super climb into the stall zone and come down on normal flight users from seemingly nowhere. But it's hard as crap to dodge missiles in, and although I have decent reflexes and awareness, even pro flight gets me disoriented often in serious dogfights. I'd never make it as a real pilot.
