Nice ride man. With just those bolt-ons, it should be an easy mid to low 13 second car. With a good launch and slicks a 12.99 is not out of the question. The E303 is probably the best cam choice, with the B303 coming in second.

i had a 87 gt foxbody, with the E303 cam roller, rocker lifters, bored .30 over to a 306, Shorty headers, full Flowmaster exhaust with H pipe, whats called a Butterfly suspension in the rear, sub-frame connectors, Hurst shifter, iron man stg 3 clutch, 3.73's, Line Lock, Sway bar's in the rear, 3" cowl induction hood.. Wow hearing your car with the same cam makes me wish i never Sold mine lol.

How do the Gt40X heads compare to the Gt40P's? Do the X's have the thermactor air holes for emissions regulations?

i have almost the same exact setup..302HO standard bore, BBK shorty headers, BBK X-pipe, flowmaster, BBK cold air intake, BBK under drive pullies and BBK pully dress up kit, BBK throttle body, MSD ignition coil, MSD distibutor and wires, E303 cam, double roller timing gear and chain, polished stock crank, BBK radiator hose kit, 373 gears, nitto555r tires, aluminum drive shaft, subframe connectors, poly solid tranny mount, lowering springs, coil overs..anyways what hp you got? or do you know?

@socalRooster get the explorer heads too. GT40P heads flow better. get better power and high compression. and use a cobra intake with a nice B or E cam with some long tubes. i know FRPP makes special headers for the GT40P heads.

I had a similar setup on a carbed 85 capri, it idled much like that but after i put a fuel pressure regulator on it, it idled consistently all of the time in a mild thumping pattern.
