  • How fucking loud was that 'thief' in the first scene??

  • Of course they wore black outfits during missions at night. They have definetely not worn it just walking on the street though

  • Naruto Lover's :)

  • one day i will become Hokage

  • Where did you find this at, on video tape or dvd?

  • master your chi

  • ninjas didn't really wear all black, that's just popular fiction. They dressed as priest, monks, travellers, even samurai in order to blend in. A person in all black would be pretty noticeable during daytime missions.

  • @cosmonautiks Not so difficult if one is using logic. The black outfits comes from not being seen in the dark. People at that time and times before ninjas wore black outfits to remain hidden at night. I can with certain say that ninjas on a mission in the woods at daytime had green or something similar or they were just regular clothed people. The face mask had great cover over the face at night but also covered their identity.

  • breakfast / lunch / dinner

  • no idiot the best is kakashi

  • I always wanted to be a Ninja warrior...

  • @nativemrv19722 me too!

  • Was there a famous ninja called Uzumaki Naruto?

  • Ninpo is genius. I have a deep admiration for it, it is the Art Of War made as a path. The world needs to read it, so more lives would be saved, more people would be happy and more hate could be avoided.

I feel it as a complement for the Art Of Peace, by Ueshiba, one leads to the other.

    Thanks for the videos.

  • For those complaining about his bad grammer, if you learn a bit more about japanese history you would know he actually pronounced some correctly

  • 9:15 Im fucking sure!! lol..!!

  • This is the most idiotic thing I've seen.

  • this is cheesy and boring, and the terms are all mispronounced and wrong,,

  • @y0utUBeH8r Do you know a better, more traditionally accurate doc out there on Ninjutsu? Because i was really searching for one... ;)

  • @Soulfree2008 Actually I don't, I am not that interested in ninjas, but im sure if you look you can find one, or maybe try book !

  • @y0utUBeH8r I have many books,, but speaking of mispronounced terms its 'ninja', never ninjas... like sheep, or mice. One ninja or 100 ninja ;) just wanted to throw that out there

  • @Soulfree2008 i thought 1 ninja and 2 ninjas? ....

  • @ghossler nope, I speak the truth I assure you... Please correct others as they misprounounce this, and keep the spirit of the ancient art alive...! :)

  • @Soulfree2008 lol oke i will ;) and i believe you but could u link me any source to support ur statement? :)

  • @ghossler I did, I linked you to me... I have been studying ninjutsu my whole life, and the Japanese referred to them as the ninja, whether singular or plural. Other than that, you must simply accept my word for it,,, or not ;)

  • @Soulfree2008 its wrong to say... i am the support of my own saying :P and im sure u are right and that you have studied ninjutsu etc ;) but i was just wondering for reliable sources that can be verified ;) anyway... the main thing is... NINJA or NINJAS are freaking awesome :P

  • I ate poo poo out a ninja's bum bum

  • "A theif is about to steal"

    no shit sherlock...

  • Man... The setting of assassins creed should have been japan. That way you can be a ninja!!

  • Ninjas were Martial Arts Practitioneers that were trained to be but were not able to become a samurai ( at the beginning ) . Then they developed their own shools and villages . AND they were mostley bodyguards of Samurais . Not necesarylie their enemys ...

  • @0983477113

Which primary source says Ninja were martial artists and bodyguards of samurai?

  • man this is not not about historz it is onle one from many stories about ninja :)

and yes ninja would never wear a black suit over day greetings from finland :)

  • i bet this video brings you here because you watch too much naruto :D

  • And we'll be teaching YOU how to be....

    NINJA!!!!

  • This is Bujinkan/Ninjutsu is a matierial arts with 1000 years of tradition from Japan with 9 different schools that the Samurai & Ninja have training 6 of them have the Samurai training and 3 of them have the Ninja training. The Samurai and Ninja warriors was (Zen)buddhism like me. I beleave on this becouse i want prove my master. "Hatsumi Maasaki" soke of Bujinkan.

  • However, it is also true that there were the ‘sneak-in-the-dark’ missions for ninjas. What did the ninja wear then for those missions?

Definitely not black. Even during the night, black would create an unnatural moving silhouette. It is believed that red or dark blue were better choices. In the dark, red wasn’t visible and if there was sudden light from the enemy’s lamp, the red would strike fear in the enemy due to the likeness of blood.

  • In fact, the historicity of the ninja remains a mystery and it was suppose to be that way - by the ninja's themselves - to keep their identity hidden.

  • shitty documentary, At 7:10, those movements come from southern style kung fu (which is Chinese)

Ninja's (called Shinobi in reality) were assassins and spies. But they were not super soldiers who perfected every martial art who could do 100 backflips. And the whole image of them wearing black with a mask is a fake one that is not historically accurate. They would often dress as monks. Ninjas would also often work together in groups of 10.

  • Ninjas didn't walk around in all black or seldom at best and to my knowledge it was never recorded as such they mostly dressed as peasants or whatever what common to see at the time they would blend in with the community not blend into the shadow

also they weren't soldiers they were spies, assassins, and rouge samurai that would accept the jobs that samurai wouldn't do because it would go against their Bushido

if only one documentary could be legit and not filled with Hollywood trends

  • shiruken caused minor injuries, they weren't deadly at all - they were used to put an opponent at a disadvantage before engaging them with their sword or fleeing

  • isnt tokugawa leyasu a hero in basara the game?

  • i am

  • waiting for assassins creed ... ninja style..

  • that was cool

  • Check out the Transcribe Audio for this one, it's rather funny.

  • i wana be a ninja!!!!

  • @jnlor52 check out "Bujinkan" , "Ninjutsu" if you are intrested in Samurai & Ninja teqniques. it is 18 different teqniques (Kenjutsu, Sojutsu, Taijutsu, Bojutsu, naginatajutsu etc.)

  • @jnlor52 If you want to be a ninja, lets do Ninjutsu, the Art of the Ninjas

  • @jnlor52 i am a ninja.

  • u dont like naruto suck my hary balls

  • EDIT: Did not wear black, wore dark blue, camo, mostly Yellowish red

  • FICTION/TRUTH

Shurikens were killing weapons/They were used as distractions

Kunoichi, female ninjas/Kunoichi, prostitutes used by ninja for info gathering

They wear black all the time/ Maybe at night, walking around in garb is obvious

Ninja, effective warriors/Ninja are Spies not fighters. A ninja's priority is to flee.

Most of this show is just a rehash of all the movie stuff.

  • @MoralDeQue Ninja used navy blue or black for night raids. Kunochi lets say she was crying you would help perfect assassination. Ninjas are assassins and spies.

  • Great! Time Moves On, The Ninja Arts Simular Through The Ages!

  • ninjas werent warriors...?

  • @niignastii they were more so assassins or like a spec ops group than actual "soldiers."

  • a black belt in ninjitsu is easier than getting a hamburger at mc donalds and that was a quote from ------ (shihan john ang. 6th dan)

i got mine in 12 months

  • i regard ninjutsu as d mona Lisa of martial arts.

  • Ninjitsu is not a martial art, but a group of survival skills.

  • @alex666493 Naruto

  • 史実では農民や乞食の格好をして諜報活動していたというけどね~・・・。

  • ieyasu tokugawa had de hatori hanso famili to serv him personaly. and iga and koga where atack by samurais before the tokugawa age. and "shinbi" warriors (not "ninjas") werent "hired" they werent mercenarys

  • this is a really bad documentari :S... totally unreal, like an example, iassu tokugawa had the hanso hatorri famili of ninjas only for him self...

  • 1 dislikes is a pirate.

  • i think they call that a B&E

    breaking and entering lol

    ninja are kool

  • i like this

  • Ninja is every where, not just in Japan.

  • they didnt wear black suits all the time! omg but on a mission they would

  • Avoid* suspicion

  • In night, dark blue was a common clothing due To the simple fact that the night sky is dark blue. As one of the Comments Said, they would wear any clothing that would extract suspicion, black draws too much attention

  • In reality, in night they Where wearing dark blue, as the dark blue was the same colour as the night sky, ofcourse, in daylight they would wear normal clothing

  • Actually, in theatres the guys Whore black Where the ones who set up The stage and such, so that the viewers would ignore the ones in black, like a shadow. And they made some actors playing ninjas and wearing the "anonymus" black suit they would "murder" someone, thus surprising the viewers Who thought it was one of those admins

  • But it depends ... if they were going on a night raid they would dress in all black but if they were going to assassinate a single target they would dress accordingly to blend in.

  • Ninjas wore whatever was necessary...Black,dark blue, probably white for the winter snow...etc

  • To everybody who says that ninja didn't wear black....please shut the hell up. You are basing this "fact" off of some smartass comment made a while ago which is completely incorrect. Ninja wore black. THAT is a fact. It didn't have to be a full on uniform, but it WAS black at all times. Anyone who says otherwise is a fool

  • @MooptyBlue14 your an idiot stealth is all based on agility patients and camoflouge to camoflouge means to blend in now when its dark at night and your eyes ajust go put a black shirt in a dark corner youll fucking see it its darker than the shadow now try dark blue heavy wood dark green shit like that youd never know it was there you duck and they adapted meaning they would wear watever sometimes to be invisible they had to dress like a farmer or merchant or monk as long as they were i

  • @kraizil Uhuh, sure dude.

  • @MooptyBlue14 ahh you loose still oyu hve no pride

  • @MooptyBlue14 your just a stupid fool with no formal training in any martail art

  • @kraizil Sure. And I'm guessing you do?

  • No they didn't wear black. They wore normal clothes or anything that would not draw attention to their activites.

  • @MooptyBlue14 maybe maybe not just know i wouldnt speak if i didnt have the knowlege. think about this ninjas were todays special forces back then doing the things others wouldnt daredo you see them running around in typical millitary attire nope they remain invisible by blennding in with what ever surronds them wether it be people grass woodlands water etc

  • @kraizil Just keep it coming dude. I'm sure you have a whole arsenal of bullshit...

  • @kraizil And for the love of God! Use some fucking commas!

  • @kraizil cant beat me in knowlege so you talk about commas lmao smh ok dude

  • 4:52, the messenger was a rastafarian ninja

  • 1:09 that ninja sucks ass at sneaking quietly

  • @effrainm as long as no one hears it

  • If no-one knows what ninja wore... That could mean that they wore the black suits. Its like they say on the video "farmers by day and ninjas by night". So i doubt they need regular clothes to blend in. I think it would be smart too wear a black suits because they are "night creatures". But I think ninjas are awesome! Anyone know some other place I can read or watch some history of the ninja?

  • @Bummpis

You should not try to find historical Ninja if you have a big dream on them.

  • Just a few training halls of the ninja were Disguise, hand to hand combat, mysticism, and espionage. If anyone has any questions send e a message.

  • i AM a ninja

  • @Darkydrago - they actually did were the shōzoku only during night missions, during the day a ninja could not be told apart from your average person.

  • @17BPNinja Hai! you're right!

  • 7:22

    eh'

  • last suriken is never thrown. it culd be used as a weapon in close combat. allso you culd use them with srings and oil to create fire.

  • ninjas usualy discused them selfs as servanst and begars when traveling. in forest they whuld use green camoflage. in nigth they whuld use their trade mark black suits. they besicly where predesesors of modern commandos.

  • @gooddarkjedi most didt use black becyase it gives off shadows usally they would were dark brown or red white in snow

  • When you are young some kids want to be a super hero like batman spider man or superman ... or a rockstar of some kind or an actor ... i wanted to be a ninja ... i always loved the way they looked the way they could move silently without making a sound and take out their enemy with out them knowing they were even there

  • @iTzzEuphoriaaaaaa You were too fat. They could hear you coming and be ready for you.

  • @iTzzEuphoriaaaaaa me too man. i wanted to be a ninja turtle lol, then just a ninja :P

  • Comment removed

  • @iTzzEuphoriaaaaaa me too i hated superheros, my dad wanted to be a ninja too, i think i got it from my dad

  • @iTzzEuphoriaaaaaa Like most things it's not nearly as glamorous as the myths make it out to be. They're more or less just spies and guerilla soldiers. Killing people is always a messy, horrible business.

  • @iTzzEuphoriaaaaaa ohhhh, well i wanted to be the president..

  • @iTzzEuphoriaaaaaa i totally agree with ya

  • @iTzzEuphoriaaaaaa if you want i could send you the link to a book about the secrets of ninja

  • @iTzzEuphoriaaaaaa thats just like me i am a ninja lol

  • Ninjas actually never wore those black suits...

  • @Darkydrago Actually they did but it wasnt the same style most of them were sleeveless

  • @Darkydrago in 1 way you are right occasionly some ninjas did were that to blend in with the dark but normally they wore watever they cud to blend in such ass farmers oufits .......

  • Wearing all black actually creates a visible silhouette in the darkness, it's better to use lighter colors such as maroon, brown, or dark purple.

  • @Darkydrago Ok to clarify with everyone about what the ninja wore. They did wear the black ninja uniform but it looked quite different and they wore disguises by day while they got the info or whatever needed for their mission. However when they wore things to camoflauge themselves against their surroundings and moved in such a way that the unsuspecting enemy could not see them. The ninja have nine training halls to master or specialize in. (continued on a post on same video)

  • Noone really knows what ninja wore. The black suits came from Japanese plays, it was simply decided that that's what a ninja would look like for entertainment purposes. They most likely wore regular clothes to blend in.

  • @Darkydrago tu che. But still it does kinda match up preaty well though. And well at least we're in agreement about the regular cloths. lol

  • @Darkydrago maybe they did, maybe they didnt.

  • @Darkydrago maybe they did, maybe they didnt. Besides why wouldnt they wear that at night? Looks badass and matches the shadows.

  • They actually wore normal clothes so they could not be seen as a freak killer... They would usually just steal stuff or listen in on things. The suit is not real, it comes from Japanese plays, the people who held up props wore black "ninja" suits, and were suppose to be invisible. This costume associated with being invisible became the suit that people said ninjas wore. But actually they just wore normal clothes. Truth is, there's almost no info about them, and that's the way they would want it

  • The black suits were used in Kabuki theatre plays and worn by actors to "symbolize" ninjas, as noone really knew what one looked like. Ninja actually wore normal clothes and sometimes even wore armor. Wearing all black at night will actually form a sillhouette around you making you more visible to someone looking in your direction, it wouldn't had been smart for them to do that.

  • @Darkydrago Oh really? A ninja ALWAYS wears black, because he needs the shadows and the dark. AND if he didn't, what did he wear then?

  • Some ninja wore armor, but not the kind samurai wore. It was much lighter. Some of the old japanese drawings of ninja show them wearing armor. And think about it, at night, is everything the color black? No, of course not. Buildings and other objects are different colors, if you run around wearing all black it would be difficult to blend in with these other objects. Also, museums in japan have actual ninja gear and outfits and not one of them is all black. Check out wayoftheninja-dot-com.

  • Well, you can't wear "Building" - camoflaged armor into combat, because you can't blend in with everything else. And, as for the camoflage, they would either wait for their enimies to look away before they crossed open spaces or light colored walls or buildings. They used the shadows, remaining perfectly still until they could make a break, but this technique would only work if they used black.

  • Now you're being silly. They simply wore clothes that wouldn't draw attention to themselves. There was no all black outfit. That was created by Hollywood, which they took from japanese Kabuki theatre. The suits represented the ninjas mysteriousness. There was never an official ninja uniform or all black suit. The ninja wore whatever wouldn't draw too much attention to their activities. An all black uniform would definitely stand out.

  • I'm sure I'd be suprised if I saw a farmer running across the tops of buildings, I'm sure I would set off the alarm. Have you ever read any boooks on the ninja's way of mind control? Their greatest weapon was their enemy's mind. They would use their (alright, dark-ish) clothing to be able to be perfectly still for hours on end, then do something to startle their enemy. After doing this for days, whoever the ninja was fighting started getting paranoid(and was less of a threat).

  • @AGloriusCrushingz Ninjas wore the clothes of a commoner, its called 'blending in', and to blend in, you appear as everyone else. In day time that is, at night they wore dark attire, but not black.

  • @Darkydrago Drawings from the 1817s say they did.

  • LOL, bullshit! There were never any visual drawings of what a ninja looked like. They have always remained mysterious and even today we don't know if there was any official ninja uniform.

  • @Darkydrago Wiki it man

  • I know what you're talking about...the description clearly states that the picture is from a manga...

  • Comment removed

  • The wikipedia picture being referred to has writing below it that says the picture comes from "Hokusai manga"...Go look for yourself.

  • @Darkydrago Yeah i know man i thought mangas were like new japanese anime haah didnt know theyve been around for centuries

  • @Darkydrago They did on those rare occasions when the risky and inefficient option of breaking and entering was their only choice. Otherwise, blending in by dressing and acting like some who belongs was almost always a much more effective way to gather intelligence or get close to a target.

  • @Darkydrago But still there cool and I want one.

  • @Darkydrago too say that they all ways did is a lie for many a time missions would involve disguise but for night raids "those black suits" as you call them where favored for the involved concealment of both the ninja and his weapons

  • @Darkydrago if ninjas never worebalck suits then what did they were because thdy did have the black suits not all the time but still

  • @lilmermer10 he is lying done belice him they actually did wear black suits

  • @Darkydrago actually they did idiot learn your facts!

  • Actually, I do know my facts...you've seen to many movies just like everyone else who thinks they know about ninja...The ninja did not want to draw attention to themselves during missions. They wore regular clothing and even donned armor from time to time. It's true they wore dark clothing at night, but definitely not all black. The all black costume was created by Kabuki theatre playwriters to "represent' the "presence" of a ninja. When westerners made movies they adopted the image...read up.

  • @Darkydrago your probably right but let people have there fun so what if they did not always wear them black suits its fun to think of them that way because its a cool image to have yes maybe we should know some more facts but at the same time its not like any one is saying they can fly or any thing just a small detail like clothing who cares as long as we know who ninjas are.

  • @Darkydrago They did for operations.

  • No, they didn't...

  • @Darkydrago where is your source?

  • There are articles on wikipedia, which uses references from other websites that have done the research, also, in Japan there are medieval museums that feature ninja history. They have collected weapons and armor, and you know what? Never a black suit...not even one...
