Do you know how they call the spiky thing on the back of your hair? I wanna get that type of haircut. Like the hairstyle of "Devil Jin" from TEKKEN 5.
@comafrutasyverduras Well, it's a hybrid haircut that we've come up with over time, but it started out as a "concave gradation" in the back. If you try that it might work. The spike is just a style thing I do myself.
The best way to get what you want is to tell them, and take some photos with you. If you can't find any, let me know and I might have a photo of the back of my head.
But you could also just take images of Devil Jin. ;o)
How long to 'vacations' last? Like, if I planned to go to Japan in the future to live (hypothetically) and I wanted to go to America for holidays how would that work? It seems like it would cost alot to go back to America, back to Japan, and so on and so fourth. :D And I hope you're having a great time there!
I'm sure there are at least a few. It's not cheap but it's really great for your hair. And I'm certain they have salons in London because it's a French company. ^_~
It's one of those things that took me a few years to get the courage to do it but now that I have I love it. But don't fool yourself; I have to style it every day or it looks like complete poop...
Also... you may be interested in (triple w) (dot) aveda (dot) co (dot) uk
I didn't go to an Aveda salon. Looking back I wish I did! lol.
The place I went...I didn't feel very comfortable and the salon ladies were talking over me. There was a woman with a very deep american accent lol. Very loud! :-p
The colour didn't turn out how I wanted lol. Was quite expensive too!
I would've been better off if I got a box of hair dye and a good friend to help me do it.
Hey, Aveda is expensive; it's hard to fork over that money when you could go somewhere else. But I personally love the way my hair feels after I get it dyed there so I keep going back.
Be careful with boxed dyes...they have ammonia or peroxide in them to bleach your hair while depositing dyes and are rather harmful. If you decide to go that route try looking for natural dyes (and not "Naturistics" or whatever that brand is called).
If you're replying to my comment below...I said nothing of the sort. What that means is England is more expensive, making Japan feel cheap by comparison. ^_~
Are you able to get haircare brands like Redken in japan? Cause Im going on a 10month exchange next year and i dont really wana have to change my routine.
Very few people precede a non-exceptionally-positive (read: neutral or negative) with "Oh my god" and mean it in a positive way. I read it like the grammar dictates. ^_~
Wow. I'm not going to look it up but if you're doing the same thing everyone else on youtube does, which is trying to sound smarter by making the person they're talking to look stupid, thats a pretty douche bagy of you. But hey, can't blame you for being just like everyone else.
(see, that was rude of me)
so hmm, I guess that leaves me open to an "i don't have to try to make you seem stupid" kind of comment. did i guess right? oh well, maybe i'm wrong.
It's the same haircut I've had for a long time...it just grows out a bit and then I go back to get it done again. That was the first one I had in Japan, so it was an achievement.
Never know until you try it. My hair used to be all the way down to my butt. Until college I'd never had short hair. Now even though I miss having long hair sometimes I love love love it!
Though admittedly if I ever get married I'll grow it out.
I always wanted to try something like a mohawk or shaving my head but only girls with really feminine and pretty faces can get away with it and not look silly. It'd be fun to try sometime though!
Congrats on the haircut! I pay $10 for mine. Aren't you jealous?! Just kidding ;-) Actually others pay more at the same place, but my 'stylist', if you can call it that, feels bad charging me that much because it only takes 5-10 minutes, so she only charges me $10. I return the favor by going every 3 weeks... but no complaints here!
Well, part of it buzzed, yes... sides and back, but scissors on top, although since I go often, top doesn't need to be cut every time. I'd say usually 10-15 minutes tops. If my haircuts were that expensive, I'd probably have to resort to a Vin Diesel do (although I imagine that to be a really sad look on me) lol
Yup :) Btw - I think it's really cool that you reply to all or most of your comments. Really adds a personal touch, and I appreciate that, as I'm sure others do.

$110, actually, and that's about the same as I'd pay in the US. This is a salon, not Fantastic Sam's. I got two color processes and a cut. It's more like a spa than just a place to lop off a length of hair.
In the US it would take from 9am until about 2 because I'd go to a school and the students are slower. Here it was 10-1 and I got hand, shoulder and scalp massages, calming tea, and other goodies the whole time. Plus, the products from the cheap places aren't usually very good for your hair.
