  • mister MILLAGY BROTHER

  • He looks pissed with Letterman lol

  • i think 12 ppl who watched this video are in a gang

  • i feel like dr. kaku is biting his tongue fot letterboxes sake not his

  • KILL IT WITH WATER!

  • kaku is my professor in astronomy this semester and he is fantastic. he's a genius and he is so funny! fantastic professor!

  • @doodles6112 amazing to have such a smart man as your PROFESSOR. What college does he teach in? I know it's in New York? How hard is it to get admission into that college as well?

  • @xPhreaky its a CUNY! city college of new york. its not that difficult to get it and it isn't expensive at all. it is a fantastic school and i have enjoyed the campus and the professors since freshmen year.

  • @doodles6112 you're one lucky guy!

  • And I don't really quite understand why people are comparing the intelligence of these two men. It makes no sense. Being a physics professor doesn't make you "smarter" than anyone, and is not the be all or end all of intelligence. Kaku would be the first to tell you that.

  • The drama queens on YouTube need to take a chill pill. The Late Show is a comedy show, and Dave is a comedian. Jokes aren't meant to denigrate the suffering of the Japanese; it's a form of cathartic relief. I've heard plenty of jokes concerning the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan, and I as an Afghan, didn't take offense to them. As for his comment of not wanting nuclear energy, I empathize with Dave. After Japan, people will hold cautionary views on having a nuclear reactor near their home.

  • letterman is such a tool.

  • I graduated school at PS 234 with his daughter Michelle. Class of 1995. He took us to the Hyden Planetarium up in City College in NYC.

    HELLO DR. KAKU *waves*

  • You can see it right on Dr. Kaku's face "Why am I talking to this idiot?"

  • Michio Kaku isn't that smart it's just that he's from the future

  • Truly are remarkable man. This guy turned me from a video game playing little bastard into a intellect.

    Regards Dr. Kaku

  • How can a guy so smart be so ignorant in this regard. Coal and other fossil fuels kill exponentially more people per year than nuclear will probably ever kill. Apples to apples nuclear power is MUCH safer than fossil fuels.

  • Kakoo is a nwo puppet.

    Related exp....

  • lol...people like michio kaku post things on google for people to take granted....why use internet when u have the original source?

  • Michio Kaku is our times einstein!!!

  • @sparuto117 lol u cant be serious

  • Kaku was on Conan and even Conan looked like an amateur.

  • I thumbs'ed it up for Dr Kaku,

but I would take a crap on Letterman and his daughters face in front of a live studio audience. What a clown.

  • Best case scenario, send the gangs AND Letterman to fix the problem. Dumb ass trying to hard to be funny and fail at trying to be smart. Kaku was mentally face palming his way through the interview.

  • Like from the green hornet, he's a swiss army knife, you keep finding new things about him

  • Mr. Kaku is GANGSTA! >.<

  • wtf

  • Michio Kaku is a big JOKE. He's a big LAUGH!

  • @sehoujay

    So is your life.

  • @sehoujay And you are a big RETARD.

  • he should be in sci fi movies he can play himself in a set year of 2093

  • Dr. Michio Kaku for President!

  • Letterman makes Kaku look even more intelligent than when I see him just talking by himself, or giving lectures.

  • Michio is cool!!!

  • Letterman looks smart but it is spoiled when he opens his mouth.

  • david is a dumb fuck

  • @oldherbert IS THAT GOOD OR BAD?

  • this david is totally dumbass....talking nonsense....

  • Mr Kaku is like =| when that noob was ranting on about random shit

  • wtf is David talking about, Michio is probably thinking this guy is a dumbass.

  • He's got to losen up a little...a smile wouldn't make him look dumb.

  • mitch looks great for his age

  • Kaku seems pissed by stupid Letterfag.

  • *ucking ads

  • letterman what an awful jackass

  • letterman, although he is smart looks and sounds stupid with michio

  • letterman blew it

  • In times like this Mr. Kaku must feel like he's stranded on planet of the apes surrounded by a seven billion bumbling ignorant primates.

  • @SolidSnake032486 Michio Kaku has made himself the face of the future just by recognizing we didn't have one. His audio CD's are excellent for car listening.

  • @SolidSnake032486

    Most of them Republicans.

  • @SolidSnake032486 nice! :D

  • @SolidSnake032486 i read your comment just before watching the video and thought it was funny but kind of hiperbolized XD.. after 3:!1 mins... i TOTALLY agree with u...

  • fuck ads fuck ads fuck ads fuck ads FUCK ADS

  • It's difficult to watch self-absorbed, pompous Dave trying to sound smart on the matter of Japan's nuclear crisis. He could give a rat's ass about anyone else, his only concern is to keep the problem away his neighborhood so life continues to be peachy. Dr. Michio Kaku didn't even crack a smile. I never liked David Letterman's brand of humor much but to to have him bring this topic up and talk about it so casually really ditched him on my list. Foreigners judge USA by people like Letterman.

  • michio kaku is great...

just read one of is books, and you'll find out

physics of the future, and physics of the impossible are great to name some ..

by the way, the changed the world with the string field theory ...

  • Why is everyone so angry at Letterman? It's a comedy show, Letterman was just trying to get a laugh out of the interview. Didn't exactly work of course, but still.

    It's the LATE SHOW.

  • @Mythik88 What part of people deaths from tsunamies and atomic radiation do you find comical?

  • How dare letterman wast Mr.Kaku's time... lettermans lucky he dsnt develop a teleportation device to transmit a laser beam at his head.

  • I love Michio, but his interviews are always obviously self-rehearsed. He never deviates far from a very narrow subset of anwswers. It could be that he is very certian, but I suspect he is less certian than most. It seams the more a person knows within the field of theoretical physics, the less certian he must become. Many physicist will understand that this is an unavoidable extention of a cherished principle.

  • @yellowhue30 maybe because he finds it difficult to put everything in layman's terms, but you could be right.

  • I actually think he has Amazing people skills, I've met the man once and he was extremely kind and answered all of my (in respect to his intelligence) retarded questions.

  • @erinshunny You're very lucky to meet him! I know he's been down here in California at Caltech. Tobad I missed him!

  • @erinshunny Being humble is the way to go, no wonder Dr. Kaku is loved by so many. I would love to meet Dr. Kaku to some day...

  • @dionstrezlecki no, he just cant go that low, and laugh to something that is stupid and not funny at all...u can tell by his face that he is embarrass instead of this guy

  • all we really is GEET....google "free geet plans"" and PRINT them before they are gone.

engines burn 80%water 20% cooking oil....

nuclear is a scam and total bullshit

wake up, power your home with geet

    demand government geet

  • kaku has poor people skill in my opinion

  • @dionstrezlecki

No he's just not sure how to reply to Letterman's idiocy

  • Thumbs UP if you skipped YouTube's crappy AD by MUTING it and opening another TAB for 20 seconds

  • Dr. Kaku isn't used to having someone "dumb down" his statements, or make light of a serious situation. Not that Letterman isn't witty (though sometimes his jokes just fall flat) but I don't think Kaku is on the same humor wavelength. Kaku is a brilliant science translator, able to present theoretical physics in a way that most non-physicists can understand, but he is also a keen futurist. He is optimistic but not unrealistic. Letterman is always more like, "let's see, how to make this funny..."

  • Dr. Kaku is a visionary, and brilliant.

  • I have a question. There are over 300 nuclear plants in USA alone. When the solar tsunami hits in 2012 and power grid disrupted possibly for months how they will be cooling these reactors???...

  • @hawaiileo With water. That's why they're built next to lakes or lakes are built next to them with aux. power generators working pumps.

  • Bad mistake putting an advert at the beginning, I'm not even going to watch it now and thumbed down.

  • On the 25th levels 35km from the plant were 100x greater than Chernobyl - 14 days after both respectively. At 75km Fukushima was 2x the levels as Chernobyl - both 14 days after the event.

Not as bad as Chernobyl? 100 times worse! So far!

Fukushima doesn't have a graphite core but here 6 plants that have released radiation. 4 of them partially melted down, 2 severe core breaches, Numerous fires, and LOTS of contaminated water spilled into the ocean.

    Chernobyl killed about 1,000,000 people!

  • LOL Letterman is so illiterate compared to Dr.Kaku its quite ridiculous how many people are stupid and unproductive in this world. If even half of the human population were as educated and logical as him we would be a far more advanced and productive civilization.

  • What a bunch of clowns. Makin jokes while ppl suffer ...

  • letterman trying to be funny just sound idiotic with an intelligent person, but michio kaku find more fun in discussing science properly

  • Wow! So the best way not to get upstaged when interviewing Michio Kaku is to ask funny/rhetorical questions the whole time.

Usually he makes his interviewers look like retards.

  • 10 years.... Oh NO! Then what?

  • Michio Kaku is too smart for the dumbass embarassment that is David Letterbox

  • @arthus123 your right

  • @arthus123 LOL he is super smart but i love lettermen so i want to thumbs up and down you what a crisis

  • @arthus123 i know i haven't seen the video yet but i know dr.kaku can easily blow david lettwerbox"s mind with his knowledge

  • @arthus123 True, David Letterman is a simpleton, I have no idea what Dr. Kaku puts up with it.

  • @fullclip16117 for money

  • Comment removed

  • smart man.

  • i met Michio today at Powell's Books in Portland and got to ask a question and shake his hand. XD

  • @ChuckNorrisKratosLOL

OK he may well be 10 times smarter than me,

but not as smart as i thought he was.

  • A couple Google searches will turn up more than enough information to determine that Fukushima is not and will never be anything like Chernobyl. This so-called expert Kaku is clearly just another sensationalistic fraud exploiting recent events for his own self interest. I mean seriously, on Letterman he said the Russians handled Chernobyl better than the Japanese in Fukushima. That is the most absurd thing I've ever heard.

  • @jonathanb921

yes the soviets handled chernobly pretty well, yes ten's of thousands died and god knows how many have gotten cancer. but its like a soviet general i forget his name said "someone had to do it". the soviets brought back their helicopter pilots from afghanistan to sandbang that reactor. guess what happened to those pilots, and the guys who were throwing sand bags out the plane by hand? they died. the liquidators, robo-soldiers died quickly or got cancer. but someone had to do it.

  • @jonathanb921

You obviously don't know Michio Kaku. This guy is one of the smartest person on Earth. I would trust what he says more than your "Google searches".

  • @akatura

Michio, shame on you, posting under an alias as a fan of yourself! Unbelievable!

  • @akatura yes, but he seems very arrogant and one of those that capitilize on fear mongering. He's in alot of 2012 videos...just rubs me the wrong way.

  • @CerberusSoul4ever how could he rub anyone the wrong way

    1

  • @CerberusSoul4ever I have to disagree. Michio Kaku seems to be the most optimistic one about the future. Just check out his videos about future predictions...

  • @akatura Now that you mention it, I've noticed google searches do not seem to be as effective as they used to be.

  • @akatura hahahaha well said my friend

  • @akatura they dont call him the next Einstein for nothing XD

  • Dave must be on the political bandwagon with Cuomo. Dave is poorly educated about nuclear power. He failed to mention that it was NOT an earthquake that caused the devistation in Japan, but the tsunami that damaged the back-up generators to Fukushima. During an earthquake in NY, I'd be more afraid of the skyscrapers falling to the ground and the streets crumbling in to the subway lines below than a nuclear catastrophe.

  • @stephbent1 Why are you going to say somebody is not educated on something when the earthquake is what caused everything because its what started the Tsunami the the Tsunami wrecked the backup generators.Lets make it a little more simple ok, if the earthquake had not have happened then non of this would have happened.Tsunami's are only caused by earthquakes.

  • where's the rest of the interview?

  • nuclear power is very natural and incredibly efficient and powerful. but we still need to learn how to use it correctly. one of the things i keep hearing is that nuclear power belongs underground (that is were it naturally belongs). we need to learn how to harness the power of nuclear energy using nuclear thorium. there is so much to be said about this form of nuclear energy, even its waste is filled with rich reusable contents for fuel and treating cancer. please read about thorium energy.

  • @Xytos lol.. u said nuclear was natural.

  • @kennykiller911 i guess you dont quite understand basic chemistry so let me try to explain. inside of an atom's nucleus contains protons and neutrons, this is counter-intuitive because protons repel each other and neutrons have no charge at all, so how are they held together? well, there is no full scientific explanation for it yet, but they call that force the NUCLEAR force. and it exists in every atom. if you separate the bonds of the nucleus, an enormous amount of energy will release.

  • Why does a retarded cockroach get to interview a theoretical physicist?

  • i am beginning to think this guy is a complete idiot.

  • @atmark666 and i know your a complete idiot

  • @TheDeni993

this guy is telling BS just to increase his media exposure.

  • Weak interview by dave with one of the most popular scientists these days. They cut off the end where dave gets even more incomprehensible and no one's laughing.

  • Relatively ... Well, as long as you don't observe, is he everywhere, but the average somewhere behind the scene.. :-)

  • I wonder where Michio Kaku's relatives went after they left the area?

  • @TeslaTechnologyRocks to City College of New York where he teaches...

He gave us a speech of the physics of the future.
