One is your making money tax free and the second is if it's not made properly it can make people very sick or in some cases cause blindness or even death. Not to mention some shiners cut there moonshine with other cheaper liquids (bleach, embalming fluids) to make higher profits.

I watched this on TV last night. This is GREAT. I enjoyed the heck out of it. This Popcorn guy is amazing. What an artist. The film made me even more anti-government than i was before. People should be free to do harmless things like this without govt interference. Our govt needs to spend more time chasing terrorists and illegals than Americans.

Does everyone know why moonshine is illegal? It's not for the public safety like the Feds say. It's because moonshiners don't pay taxes on moonshine revenue, and the Feds can't have that happening. Does everyone know why moonshine is illegal? It's not for the public safety like the Feds say. It's because moonshiners don't pay taxes on moonshine revenue, and the Feds can't have that happening. Moonshine to avoid government control, and taxes goes all the way back to King George, and is one of the reasons for the revolution, and the establishment of a new country called, the United States.
