@mostlyrightous Simple, If Bob were the offending guest, he would simply apologize politely to the other guests. If Betty were the cause of the disgrace, then Bob and the other dinner guests would escort Betty to a scenic location, at least 100 miles away from the house. Bob and the other guests would return home, while Betty would be forced to fend for herself, in exile for the rest of her natural life. As is the American custom.
