  • PEOPLE! Less time complaining about his video, and more time practicing the CSS!

  • It all works except the image it just comes up as a tiny box with a green circle, blue square and a red triangle!

  • .imagea { border: 1px solid #000; postition: absolute; top: 50px; left: 100px; }

    thanks.

  • who the hell cares of his lack of self confidence? geez

its a good vid so tnx for uploading it.

  • I don't agree with the one commenter who said you should stay away from videos. I think your video was just fine. I learned a lot and the information was clear. Thanks.

  • @smodeski100 Haha, thanks. I don't listen to those comments any longer, these videos are nearly 5 years old, so they're just rating me on my 14 year old experience, haha.

  • 666- lol! the devil haz you.

  • Make sure you add the DTD, or no skilled web designer will ever recommend your videos. There are too many exploits and security vulnerabilities on pages that don't have DTD.

  • You're supposed to use classes when you have similar types throughout your content. For example, maybe you have an image type that is 'large image', so you use the 'large image' class; also, you can have a 'small image' class. If you're going to have just one image styled a special way, you should use an id: #image_a, #image_b; .image_type_a; .image_type_b....

  • Hi dear friend..

Today i am watched this video..

In this video you are learn about div and layer if you want learning so please came here and get information..\

    Thanks for uploading dear friend,...

  • You have actually saved my life. Good video :)

  • You can always have position:center, left right yeah yeah yeah?? No you can't. position can have only 5 valid values: static, absolute, relative fixed and inherit

  • Good Video, Subscribe :)

    Buen Video, Suscribete:)

  • Thanks, All this starting to make more sense. Your CSS styling positioned the picture correctly but will it deal with text flow, I think I would need to float my image to handle the text flow.

    Eric

  • No offense there buddy, but maybe you should stay away from tutorials for a while, gain some experience, then come back. Its not to say you don't know what you're doing, just that you seriously lack confidence in yourself and your work.

  • @titananimations Haha no offense taken, maybe 4 years ago though.

  • I really like how you don't conform to XHTML standards, and you mention you created a PHP file because it's "easier for you" but you didn't even put any PHP code in it. You could've saved that EXACT same file as a .html, and it would've been just as easy...

  • Thanks a lot good video learned a loads keep it up.

  • why is there no working way out there? this is so lame, html and css sux big time!

  • you talk as if your struggling and you take 11 minutes to explain something that should take like 5 minutes.

  • Thanks for sharing this informative Video. For Expert Level .NET Video's visit "TheSYNERGETICS" channel on youtube . Synergetics is Awarded as the Best. NET Training Service Provider by Microsoft

  • I suck

  • Are you the one that created the CSS Tutorial // Div Layers, Classes video?

  • @digitaldigg Obviously lol

  • I ripped the most disgusting fart during this video. I had to leave the room.

  • You helped But you talk like you have Heart Burn. LMAO.

  • couldn't watch past 1 minute 56 seconds. felt like i was tripping on mushrooms.

  • Hi people,

there is a new social network dedicated to everyone who is interested in graphic, hacking, programming and information technology.

    The link is: nerdz.gotdns.org

    ENJOY!

  • You're awesome! This helped a lot! Thanks man...

  • When he screamed DUHH at 6:52 I jumped. Spaz.

  • Notepad++ is really useful

  • Im using uh. Google Chrome does it still work?

  • @francheskapugh12 what he did is cross-browser

  • Good video for starters. Thanks.

  • thanks. Helped me a little bit too :).

  • Excellent video. I'm lmao at these comments from these old fuddy duddies. You got it mastered and they jealous. Tell them" don't hate the player hate the game". ahahhahaha Thanks for the knowledge young man.

  • when i first started this tutorial i said "fuck..im not gonna learn shit from this kid"

but as the video continued..i learned alot more from this SIMPLE video..than i do from a tutorial a corporation makes to train workers. im impressed.

  • thanks :D it helped me a little bit :D

  • 5:52 DUUUU!!! LOL

  • u can use dreamwiver and its very easy to put pic in html

  • DreamWeaver, is for people, who do not want to learn, because they're lazy...

  • Dreamweaver is fail and takes no skill. If your a real programmer you will use notepad and notepad++ to create websites.

  • jävla nörd

  • very good video slow and easy to understand thank

  • how i put the picture in this site?????????

  • maybe write some notes to refer to so it goes smoother next time, it's a bit slow.

Saying that it's a good tutorial, ignore wankers that tell you otherwise

  • lol

  • thank you for the replay....GodSpeed...thank you for helping others

  • *good speed

  • Well.. then don't watch the tutorial. It's was pretty good but think of what your going to say before you say it. xD

  • I couldn't stand more than one minute, listening to this.. thing

  • my word you speak so slowly i wanted to hurt myself and those around me. You could have taught that in 3mins!

    But thanks, it was useful!

  • this is great, your voice is very irritable and kinda off putting but I find your tutorial very useful for every beginner.

    KEEP UP!

  • very good tutorial...but how to look exactly the same the object in my page on every different resolution and on different browsers?cause i made a simple website and set in 1024x768 but if i set my resolution higher it looks so horrible it dis align everything..hope you can help me with this...Thanks in advance!!!God Bless

  • Don't use fixed positions. Use like 10% or 68% it'll fit to any resolution.

  • yeah dude please explain me more about this % thing i am having the same problem with different resolutions of differnt computers make my site look different who do i use % and should it be used in absolute position type ?? i tried it but when i minimized the size of browser the dive file in order to maintain its size wrap the text in the layer as it shrieked !! pls explain.

  • As a decent HTML/CSS/Javascript programmer personally unless im working on a complicated website i don't change my positioning. To keep your website proportional and not look like crap i would have your website width as a percentile, and your height as a fixed number. Which is to say nice and simple and usually works very well.

  • 1:46 niiiiiice ^^

    oh my god :-D

  • yeaah!!

  • Very nice!

  • Thanks a lot!

This solved my problem, thank you!

    Rated 5 stars & favorite

  • Exactly how this needs to be taught. Please make more videos on CSS. Excellent teaching.

  • THANK YOU!!!

Reading the CSS stuff was boring as hell, but your video made it immediately easy to understand.

  • [l[l[l

  • make more css videos your amazing

  • how can you make a myspace layout using css

  • you can have an internal or external style sheet. either way works.

  • yes true but external is better for making changes to common elements such as h1, h2 etc

internal should only be used for making changes to unique pages/elements.

  • Bajan - It's considered "cleaner" coding to keep the Styling in its own File. Organization, Better for SEO, Easier to maintain and make changes.. etc.

  • question: did u make the css file separate becayse u had to; i thought u could embedd your css class unto the html coding usig the css as a script.

  • This was a great video, very informative. But it had me laughing is not a bad thing. It makes learning fun. You go boy and keep up that great work.

  • im downloading xampp to see if that helps...

  • Yea that was really good. How old are you? I also rated it as five stars because I am beginning to build my own pages but I didn't learn any of this in school. We didn't have this class. Thanks for brilliant minds like yourself to help people like me, lol take care

  • Awesome bro

  • what was that on: 06:53?

  • right click view page source?

  • dude u r my life saver many thanks......5 stars

  • That should be text-align: center or text-align: left. It's so weird listening to and watching a tutorial for CSS. At least you use notepad.

  • thanks MR Pipenose for your THIRD tut

    really great...

  • Thanks for taking your time to share your knowledge with everyone else. You're great and I hope you know that the creepie people with negative comments are sad little people with very undeveloped brains. On the other side, you sound like a really great kid and you have my resepct. Thanks for the info.

  • you sound like micheal jackson =]

and this is really helpfull =]

  • It's really nice you're making video tutorials

But PLEASE, write down your text before making them, and shut down all non essential programs.

Also try using a smaller capture so the text is readable...

Keep up the work, always try to improve yourself!

  • Good job, very clear and understandable!

  • dude, do you hold your nose while you talk?

  • lol we prob all sounded like that before our balls dropped :P

  • Yepp he does I saw him doing that

  • lol he saved it as style.css.txt I get it

  • Thanks a lot because I learn much better when I can see and hear video instead of reading text tutorials. This was a great experience for me who is a beginner!

  • Good job boy! Keep it coming and the jokes too.

  • I thought this tut was good. Thanks a lot. Dont listen to all the people who comment negatively. You have a gift and you're sharing it with other people.

  • 666.hahahahaha

    what was funny honey!

  • the button is yellow btw:p

  • 2 years ago it was orange :D

  • @lifeg0eson666 now its silver

  • @lifeg0eson666 Now its silver :D lol

  • Tutorial might be great, but I couldn't arrange listening to you for more then 20 seconds.

Your way of speak is very irritating and hard to listen too. Sounds like you're very nervous.

  • do this is dreamweaver it'll take about 20 seconds

  • yeah but you don't have so much "freedom" when you use programs like dreamweaver that does the arrangements for you... with coding you have the freedom to set position etc to any values you want which i prefer and it's way easier than positioning in dreamweaver, especially if it does auto arrange which bounces stuff off... annoying

  • good job,, thanks for taking the time to demonstrate

  • oh. . .make me bored, sooooo boooored!!!

    Talk faster!!!

ps-- your joke was not funny!!! (666 part)

  • the 666 joke wasnt funny... you gotta work on your verbal presentation

  • godDAMN can this lil girl talk any slower? I appreciate the tutorial but I'd like to learn a few things before I die. Life is short. Talk faster.

  • if i ever find this guy i will beat him with his own hand!!! He spent 11.27 minutes on this - try to count his ok's and his euh's/em's.... - my sides are splitting :)

  • @faeirywoman He laughs at himself a lot.

    Like so ... ahahaha!

  • This guy sounds dehydrated

  • LOL!

  • LOL!

  • thanks for the tutorial,

didn't know about classes in html

    thanks

  • for all those who want to know, the border "function" doesn't work in IE.

  • English dude , english.

  • hahaha wtf , ur breathing so fucking noicy :D

  • Excellent tutorial.

  • Hi found your vid very interesting and followed along in Notepad. Why did you use Notepad and not Dreamweaver to do the tutorial?

  • great tutorial very easy to understand thanks man

  • could the image be any size? when u open up paint shop pro?

  • Its good but it wud of ended in half the time if he spoke faster... theres like a 5second gap between each word

  • Great tutorial, but I have a question, I am more a designer than a coder or programmer and my question is; Do you have a tutorial where you can explain step by step how to bring a design from Photoshop and start position it with CSS and XHTML in Dreamweaver, please. Thank you very much.

  • I agree I wanna know this too...

  • i love your brushes!

  • wt...did they just say 66..yu know the rest O_O

  • not always,i say second,lol :]

  • Thats the first thing I noticed actually...

  • have any non-americans here noticed that americans always pronounce Second as Secont? Listen to the start of this vid!

  • thats so good

  • good job

  • Really helped. Thanks a lot.

  • Glad it did :D

  • It was okay, glad you explained it, was also a little bit blurry, I am going to make one now lollllll,,, I gave you a three, I think you could have just explained a bit more, you sounded, great, but a little nervous like you didn't know what to say.. lol not a prob. I do it all the time, when I make those with the voice thingy. I do look foward to you having more, I will subscribe to you!!

  • Video rocks, nice one.

  • 6-6-6 hahahahaha was a good tutorial though

  • excellent tutorial, it's great that you explain what each code snippet does, as you explain how to format it so that it works with the html.

    thanks!

  • thanks :D glad you liked it

  • nice video! more css please :)

  • thanks :)

  • nice vid :)

  • Thanks :D

  • How can u pretend teaching anything with such a stupid fuckin vid ?!? Wow, u know notepad!!! Greaat! Useless crap as always

  • Notepad is original. Most start with it.

  • wtf?!?!?! lol what a noob almost everyone start with the first, fast to load, original notepad. maybe useless for beginners like you :)

  • lol

  • Useless crap huh? forget that its notepad and look at the coding. This is what DW and FP produce while you design within them. Come on badasssucker get real! Pay attention and you might learn something you vidiot! lol

  • good video but where is that link u mentioned at the end of the video??

  • Thanks. The link is localhost, which is running off of my computer

  • I couldn't open the .php file in Firefox so I renamed it to .html and it opened up fine. I dont have a testing server.

  • dude. u helped out alot for me. haha u said 666. other people's tutorial is like so confusing. thx so much ^_^

  • Glad you learned something :D Thanks.

  • help me with a example like... add user, modify user, delete user, from database its like a maintaince's user... thanks

  • pleasee.. i can see very well, could you change the font? maybe number 15?? pleaseee

  • can u use dreamweaver for myspace??

  • Dunno what you mean

  • i think he meant the font-size of notepad, notepad2 or/and php designer 2008... ;-)

it's to small to read for him.

  • DUDE SICK MAN what books do you recomend to learn css i know the basics of html because i learneed it in college also i need to make a web page for a virtual airline so any help you can give me kudos for you dude

  • No problem. I never learned through a book, just by tutorial websites and other people's code.

  • hi, how could i intergrate this into dreamweaver

  • Same way

  • .imagea { border : 1px rgb(0,0,0) solid ; margin-left : 100px ; margin-top : 50px ;

    }

...would have been better instead of absolutely positioning the div because if the person wanted to add more content like text, then the image will go over that content.

Best to not to use absolute positioning unless totally necessary. :)

  • It's only a tutorial ;)

  • Hehehe, I didn't say it was a bad one. :)

  • Yeah dude can you email me about how to do things like that! Im stuck on CSS Intermediate. :(

  • how do u do this shit in visual web developer?

  • What do you mean o.o

  • do u know the porgram microsoft visual web developer? Its a bit like dreamweaver. How do i program CSS style sheets in there?

  • You type.

  • Great Vid. You will make a lot of money one day if you are not already

  • Thanks. ;)
