Thanks so much for the vid. I've found out all about planta fasciitis, which exactly describes my heel pain. My immediate action is rest for a few days, ibuprofen, ice, foot & calf stretching plus buying inserts for all my shoes. Then taking baby steps to increase my dance activity over a long time period, instead of doing too much when my body isn't ready for it. If I don't see an improvement in a few weeks I'll be off to the doctor. Just writing all this in case it's useful to anyone.
About three years ago, I was found to have a Tayler Dome lesion and had been walking around with bone chips throughout my ankle for quite a few years (i had thought I just had arthritis.) After surgery, I still have probs at times. Plantar flexion can be difficult and it seems that I have some ligaments that tend to "pop" at the wrong times. I found that Theraband exercises do help and good shoes with arch supports are a must!
