I was there at "The Rock" and saw Kovalchuk's goal. After the game, I a huge fireworks display in the streets of Newark, NJ.

@alibabyxoxo1 well they are in 6th with 4 games in hand over 7th ott. They seemed to be playing a bit better then mediocre. 11 players with double digit points and 7 with double digit goals. They play great as a team. And they just beat the Flyers while missing Henrik Tallinder (leg), Travis Zajac (ACL), Ryan Carter (hand), Adam Larsson (back) and Adam Henrique (groin).

Which hasnt happened in a while.The D isnt as good as it has been but the O is really pumping out respectable numbers.You have to credit that partly to the addition of Kovy. Ofcourse Elias is one of the greatest NJ has ever had. He is so consistent but Kovy has found a grove in NJ. 7 points in last 3 games. Last year he sucked at first but still finished with 30 plus goals. Your statment is a bit inaccurate. No offense :)

As a Devils fan that really shouldn't of been a PS as it wasn't a real cover in crease + Elias intefered with Fleury but as Devils get so many bad calls I guess this levels it :)

@newbornek Orpik does actually intentionally cover the puck with his glove while its still in the blue, even though it was just for a second, it was enough for the ref and i'll take it too :) As for Elias I can't really tell, but it doesn't excuse what Orpik did, he should've brushed it aside first without putting his glove over it. I think it's an acceptable call I've seen alot worse.
