I've found vista to have no compatibility problems, personally. It seemed better than XP's, to be honest. It's still subperior to Win7's. Performance-wise, that's another story. I've had the same computer with XP, Vista, and 7; by far, Vista had the lowest performance in identical tests. Win7 is slightly slower than XP, but not by any significant margin. In any case, Vista wasn't that good of an operating system. I didn't bother to try to make it better when I could just reinstall my XP onto it.

not true. vista still sucks. i just bought a new vista and it sucks soo hard. it does work for general usage but if you like editing video, audio, etc. you have SO MANY FUCKING COMPATIBILITY PROBLEMS. i have at least 7 programs that i love that do not work on vista. one them being Nero burner. i actually had to downgrade to nero lite in order to use it. VISTA IS SHIT SHIT SHIT.

this is so stupid ive had my vista for over a year now and it still works the same as it did the day i bought it. NO crashes what-so-ever. NO blue screen of death. NO viruses (according to avast! pro, Avira, and AVG). NO PROBLEMS!!! I absolutely positively 100% love Vista. I dont know why people are saying its crapware! ITS AWESOMEWARE!!

In comparison to XP, which I honestly had problems with after practically just reformatting the damn thing (Stalling and freezing programs.) which mysteriously disappeared a few restarts later. (God damnit)

Vista rarely rarely required such fixing. And frankly as a gamer the fact people bitched about their computers sucking too much amused me.

Though since Windows 7 flat out out-performs all OS's this is all pointless.

I have Vista and I haven't had any of the problems mentioned in this video. The only true thing is the yes/no permission requests and those can actually be pretty helpful. Vista is a great OS and is my preference over XP and Mac.

bah if you don't have the computing power to run vista then stick with XP, no-one forced you to change. Vista was built for PC's of 2007-8. Not MS fault you tried to run it on your P4. The security warnings were an attempt to improve control and security of what is run on Windows but ended just being annoying. I haven't had a virus for years. If you people are that incapable of running a PC safely then you should go to a MAC where it's built to run a certain way for the simple home user.

Vista is garbage, scanner would not work with it, and some software did not work properly either. Ubuntu 8.10 though, easy to set up, has a windows emulator and DOS emulator for windows and dos programs. Runs stable and secure. And available as free download, burn an iso image to DVD, boot from it, wipe your POS vista partition, and then use the app manager to install what ever software you want on the computer, thousands of apps, all open source and free. Vista = Fail
