@hinatathecookiedemon I used to hate Derek for the same reason, but I think the one good thing about this princess movie compared to Disney princess movies was that the prince was made out to be full of faults and actually had a personality unlike the Disney ones who were pretty much straight forward. Somewhere in the movie he lists other things about her once he's grown up a bit, plus I think if it was all just looks he wouldn't have been so pissed when she got kidnapped.

i used to watch this movie, every single day before and after school and one day in the holidays i was watching it and my parents walked in on the final scene and my mum and dad laughed and said 'you poor girl you must really think love is like this'. and 13 years on my whole expectations of 'love' are so high that i never feel satisfied and deepy upset when every relationship fails, i agree this movie didn't just give me hope it gave me a definite ideal of love. regardless i still love it!

Man, I love that when they zoom out and they kiss, you can see the water flowing and the castle in lights, it was so pretty.

I hate it though, that those stupid swans came by the millions when I had my eyes glued to the screen. I have....never...seen anything so scary in my life.....and now my butt is sore. XD

I don't think it's not good to let little girls to watch these. It can instill a sense of dreaming in them, show them that life can always be made better no matter what happens...

Plus, these movies aren't any different than the books they read when they're little.. Fairytales are just that, fairytales.. And it's up to the parents to let them know that. Otherwise, it's just fine.
