hi there, great job on this btw! one question....how did you start out with the 'X' piece of wood, can you buy it pre made like that or did you cut it out like that? IF so how?
These chains are basswood. I like butternut better but it's hard to find.
I watched your videos way cool, i wish my daughter would have kept practicing guitar. If you take requests, I think that Bob Dylan song "The Time They Are A'changing" would be cool.

I just went and bought a little carving set at Michaels and I really want to pick up carving. I just need to find something to carve...:) I will consider doing your request if I can learn the song well enough to show you. :)

try carving a face in a avocado pit and letting it dry out afterwards . they turn out pretty cool
