@justgivemethetruth You've GOT to be kidding me. First of all, it was @2:24. Yes, it WAS sour- and probably accidental- but he resolved back to the correct key after sustaining it for a few seconds. But my main point is this: How many notes do you think he played in this video?? About 1000, maybe? Live, and with incredible heart? And YOU manage to COMPLETELY IGNORE the other 999, and focus on the ONE note you didn't like??!! What does that say about you???? Come on, now!!! It was an awesome solo!
I've always liked Dave Mason and even had the Alone Together album that had the pink, beige, and brown swirls all over the record album instead of the traditional black vinal. Gave it to a friend, but I still have it in the traditional black. I'm still listening to it all the time. Dave was a friend of Jimi's.
I have only heard of Dave since 08 when I saw him at the Canyon Club in Agoura Hills. I absolutly loved him. I went this last Saturday to Laughlin to see him again. I met him and his wonderfully entertaining bass player Mr. Johnson. What a great band. Get their new CD 26 NOTES...IT ROCKS!!!!!!
I have been a HUGE fan of Dave since the mid 70's and have seen him over 50 times. I agree that "Live at Sunrise" dvd is great and in my opinion the best version of this song.
This song, "Look At You Look At Me", is from a great album, ALONE TOGETHER; and it finishes with one of the very best Classic Rock guitar runs of all time; up there with the best of 'em.
It's arrangement, on the album, is simply outstanding with a terrific acoustic rhythm guitar working throughout; a magnificent piece of Classic Rock n Roll!
Thank you Dave Mason! And thanks for this post, too. -KM, Santa Monica

Buy "Live at the Sunsrise" this is a great cd. You can also get Dave Mason "XM Radio" but I think the first is better...
