get off this guys back hes pretty good aside from the equipment he uses and anyway it should be up to the musicians comfort level.why are there so many negative people in the world? its disgusting
If you'd like to see a WHOLE House studio CRAMMED into a single SMALL bedroom, checkout my "Bedroom Studios" i swear you'll laugh and wonder what i was on when i built it! - let's face it, it's all about the lighting!!!
hey i bought a fast track pro an i have everythin hooked up drivers and everything an i have a problem i can only hear playback from one speaker everytime i record and if i hook up the xlr cable to the 2nd input ill hear it from the right speaker! could you please help me?
that's a really nice setup, but a bit of overkill if you ask me as far as a "home studio" is concerned...I think I would have used some of that money that was spent on redundant hardware on building a proper vocal booth...I've seen people with way less hardware get equally great sounding recordings from their home studios...the software/DAW's of today will do everything that external mixer will do...3 keyboard/midi controllers, a MPC, AND an electronic drum kit!?!?...WOW! not necessary IMO
@stratagize Dear sir, i saw your post & felt the need to respond. Normally I would have simply ignored the ignorance behind your bias. I own a professional home studio. The phrase "Home Studio" is synonymous to the fact that part of my home is converted professionally to accommodate my work with my clients wants & ease of tools. If you google my name (Isaiah Adeyemi) you will understand why I own several UN-redundant equipment that aid the the working environments of my clients. God bless.
@rocksolid76 .my opinion is my opinion...you can call it ignorance if you wish...I never said your setup was bad...just "not necessary" for getting quality recordings at a "home studio"..and I googled you, but all I found was a bunch of different social networking links...you shouldn't take my opinion as a personal attack, it wasn't meant that way..I'm simply letting people know that you don't need all of that equipment to make quality music...there are FAMOUS producers that get by on MUCH LESS
@stratagize I dont mean this to sound aggressive, but your input seemed a bit judgemental so I just want to put in my side of things as an observer. Point 1: Nobody DID ask you. Point 2: He never said his mixer was necessary for a quality recording. Point 3 "Home Studio" means Studio at home, not "minimalist" studio. BTW, you should see my studio. I have a highly unnecessary c24 desk. Doenst help the sound but it greatly improves my personal workflow. This is probably why he has the D8B.
@wallass97310 it depends on wat type of artist you are for me i mostly do vocal work so it cost me under $800 but if you do live instrument recording which ive upgrade to u can find yourself spendin like $1300 to $2000 if you want quality that is but there are ways around spendin alot but dont exspect good quality
Thanks for the video!!! Really enjoyed it!!! I have a quick question... where exactly did you connect the four monitors on the mixer??? Where did you plug in the near field (smaller) flat monitors?? Was it on the aux outputs??? Where did you plug in the main monitors???? Thanks!!!
I like your studio. Do you think you could put up some videos on home studio for beginners interested in having their studio but don't know how to go about it. Details and precise information of what each equipment does and it relevance to the studio as a whole. Information on connectivity won't will be most appreciated as well.
@WirSindRocker It was accidentally removed by youtube as it was under this video rental thing and I wanted it free to everyone. Since they couldn't take responsibility, I re-edited it and made it into HD with better audio results even though it's 2 years old. I hope the quality is much better and improved.
@WirSindRocker It's also a combination of the famous Home Studio Parts I & II videos and also Studio Connections Parts I & II also. Hence it's a longer play time of 30mins.
