She was a beautiful duck did all 9 ducklings hatch or just the 7 we saw in the video? Also ducks can lay up to 15 eggs and all of them can hatch so 9 eggs isn't too much for her. Well I assume if other females can do it so can she, anyway really cool video.
@charliesweb1k last year she only had 1 baby turn out like her. the other females were a caramel colour and darker. i hope to get more like her this year. mine havent even started laying yet, its been too dark. so they're not even paired up yet... i'm hoping soon!!!
@TheJamiesjamiesjamie - i just use real eggs, from another chicken. works good and they're always available so i've never tried the plastic or wood kind. good luck!!
I've been wanting some cochin chickens and call ducks for a while but it's never been the right time. Hopefully next year...(I'm always saying that though).
we have the same looking rooster and same breed :P. mines a fullblood bantom rooster. i love how they do their little frisky dance when they see new chickens.. haha its so cute
@Ra3ee6o3an i've had the WORST luck with incubating call ducks!!! i got 1 out of like 10, even when they're on their sides... i didnt spray them though, maybe that's why... tricky things!!!

The mother is the color i would love to have. do these breed true to the pair you set up or do they give you ramdum color ducklings?
