Guess what, America was never created with any thought for making Africans feel
like home or welcome. I say, as a African American, we were here to work for and support white European emigrants. They created this country thinking that we would be slaves on plantations forever. African Americans might never truly feel
@bigbigslacker should she talk fast and not intend to have meaning in what she says u dick? @donovonc u will never feel @ home in America. this American government est. in 1776 had no intention of freeing kidnapped Africans. according to the constitution, Negroids are 3/5 human being.
Kia ora Dr Maya Angelou for your beautiful presence. Words upon your experiences humble those of us who only imagine we have suffered. To have suffered and remained inwardly balanced radiates from your Sacred space (You Dear Maya). When you move in words, in presence or action there does a new ground become enlivened. You inaugurate hope in hopeless circumstances shining the light which is you indwelling the Sacred calling welcome! Welcome one and all! We are blessed to connect with you.
I long for an AMERICA that isn't fucked up. As an african-America, who has never set foot on African soil, Africa is not my home, I do not LONG to go to Africa. I LONG for an America that makes me feel like home.
Ethiopia was not colonized. However it was occupied by Italy from 1935 through 1941. (2)Liberia,is only one of two nations in Africa (along with Ethiopia) that didn't fall under European domination.
Dr. Maya Angelou got this messed up.
According to the narrator in this clip, Ghana is the first Negro Colony to gain freedom from colonialists.
It is the fact!
Liberia and Ethiopia were never colonies. PERIOD.
Check history books.
So therefore what the narration said about Ghana is the fact
I have not studied her, but based on watching this I'm under the impression Dr Maya Angelou is among that most annoying class of people who speak slowly and endlessly in an attempt to bluff the listener into believing what they say is intelligent, accurate, and full of great insight.
Again, thank you for posting this. I wish this could be replayed on the news. It is long since forgotten. I would bow before Dr. Angelou if I ever met her. If there is American royalty, she is a queen. She will be read about for years and years to come. We are blessed to have her living among us now.
She's so beautiful...
