FIRE EXITS, SPRINKLER SYSTEMS, AND NOT HAVING INDOOR FIREWORKS, could have potentially avoided many deaths on that terrible day. BUT who really knows, maybe the sprinklers failed, the doors jambed, and for some reason the ceiling had some extremely flammable materials in it do to it being old.

Life is a gamble. You take risks just walking down the street. There are just too many factors involved to say "this would prevent this and that" 'cause in the end, you never really know. That's life.

Half the guests dieing and with numerous injuries, that's such a shame. This clip gives you a sense from the start at how quickly things can change and some of those pretty and charming people are no longer with us. I saw people rushing out of the club...the cameraman was filming the fire and then he or she ran towards the exit. how long did that take? hmmm.??? not pretty long. The people that died were probably drunk off their asses.

Tragedies like this are always preventable. I wouldn't just blame night clubs though. Planes are made out of flammable material, houses older than 50 years would go up in flames in minutes (insulation is newspaper!!). I really wish more was done for fire prevention. They were beautiful, young people. My condolences to their families.
