hey man, impressioning is when you take a blank key with a sharp edge filed on it kinda like a knife edge and a fine round file and use the locks wafers or pins to mark the key then file where it marks the key effectivly like picking but at the end if done properly will leave you with a key that works the lock.. hard to do but can be quicker than picking a lock and leaves you with a useable key..

ive been doing it wrong for the past 20 years.. all the time i was picking,(a cheap and nasty 5 wafer lock like yours) i have actually been impressioning, every comment made so far is by people who know what they are talking about.. You "somehow" got hold of a set of picks and probably call yourself a Locksmith cos you bought a DVD " How to be a master Locksmith in 15 minutes"

just wondering is the reply aimed at me or the bloke who made this vid?? cause im a locksmith by trade and impressioning locks is one of my fav things to do (pretty good at it too) can do a 6 pin padlock in about 3 mins. and the master padlocks with the top mushroom pins are easier to impression than to pick.. anyways if the comments about the vid i thought the same.. anyways cheers and be good or be good at it.
