@bodyheals Actually this is more of a horizontal plane workout (i.e. pushing and pulling). The PowerMax 360 covered pushes and pulls, the ARX Fit bench press covered the push and the row covered the pull. I did a similar workout recently and coupled double negatives on the ARX Fit vertical (negative bench immediately into negative bench row).
f=mXa ...that machine is the epitome of high force repetitive motion in weaker ranges of motion..... excessive force leads to injury...caution caution caution folks.
@bodyheals Although the PowerMax 360 is not a gravity based system & the omnikinetic resistance is different than ballistic movements involving real weight or "mass", you are correct in that there are higher forces possible on this machine. My opinion is your body will only produce the force it can withstand when using omnikinetic resistance. Someone looking for general health and fitness would not necessarily need this but an athlete that encounters much greater forces day in and day out???
I have been training the past 3 years with Super Slow, Max Contraction and on Exerbotics equipment. The PowerMax 360 is completely different type of training. My shoulder joints have benefited from training with omnikinetics. Shoulders are pain free and feel great after 4 weeks on the PowerMax 360.
@Jpbonin Thank you for your insight Joe. Brent, president of PowerMax 360, offices two doors down from where I base two of my companies: Efficient Exercise and ARX Fit. He installed the PowerMax last week for us to try and this double concentric omnikinietic work is *very* different than the loading you get through ARX (adaptive resistance exercise).
@uncleavi2002 You are right, the ballistic push/pulls are not for everyone. Keith used them in this workout as a CNS activation; essentially a warm up for the CNS prior to the heavier loading on the ARX Fit bench press.
why finish chest work with rows?

Ballistic Push pulls look to me like it is very hard on the joints.
