Thank God I opted for that kind of biopsy instead of the stereotactic type! This one wasn't too painful at the start although I could feel the long needle go in to a degree. It's the width of a clothes hangar & once it's in they shoot it in further with a type of staple gun action that pulls a few strips out in different directions. Not too much pain at the time because I took two tylenol extra strength tablets first. Did hurt afterward though for about 3 wks. Lots of bruising.
