Why is it that a debate between these two governmental-economic regimes is always found in songs that allude to communism? On another note actually related to the video, thanks for posting this; I can use this in a project on totalitarian policy in some U.S. schools.

In addition, Stalin's murder sprees was spread out over his tenure as the Soviet Primer, while Hitler killed in a shorter time span. So, proportionally, Hitler killed more people/year. However, if I'm going down that road, I should say the US beats both Stalin and Hitler, as the fat man on Hiroshima killed 80,000 in 1/12 sec.

The Authoritarian buildings and system is probably the best and most pure of any of the types. I enjoy how they are a mixture of Stalinist architecture and the Nazi propaganda setup they had on most of their buildings, maybe something from 1984 in there too. But anyway, though I don't agree with the politics and economics behind it its sure as heck fun to play around with.
I have built an authoritarian city in this game, called Narnania, meant to be after the weird wardrobe people left the animals revolted and created a new glorious capital for the Soviet Republic of Narnia.
(Yes I was trapped in my house by snow and cabin fever set in XD)
Love it! I like the Authoritarian buildings. Their styling is neat and their functions and capacity are enough to want to put them in any city. Of course the music is really well done for this theme of city. Really gives it that police state feel.
At the end of this you should expect someone to say "Ja mein Furer" or "Sieg Heil" or is that just me, everyone else seems to be saying communism but I get a facist aura from this

Actually, Stalin's principles were much closer to capitalism than true communism. He squandered lots of cash on exhuberant building projects and self glorification with massive monuments of himself while much of the population suffered in poverty. Hence why the Soviet Union launched a "de-Stalinization" programme after Stalin's death as they deemed his policies too capitalist. Most communists like to associate themselves with Lenin and Marx, but not Stalin.

Yes, you could convert the .ogg files to an mp3 format, but I've noticed that it downgrades the quality of the music quite a bit. To make these videos I converted them to .wav files instead. It kept the quality the same and Windows Media Player and my mp3 player can still play .wav files (and I'm sure an Ipod could too).

Ha ha! I finaly got the song! But, I didnt get it off the internet. I got it myself. Here is what you do to get it:
1. Open documents
2. Open "Electronic Arts/Simscity Societies/Data/Audio/Music"
3. Copy "mus_authoratanian2"
4. Paste it onto your desk top.
5. Open it with what ever media player you have.
NOTE: I have Windows Vista, so it might be diffrentv if you dont have Vista.

If you have the installed the game to your PC;
Open your HD (In my case it's "C:")
And click the file named "Program Files" (You might need to check both if you have two) and go into file "Electronic Arts" and then "SimCity Societys" then "Data" then "Audio"
There are all the songs. Windows Media Player will play the files, this works on XP and Vista. I've tryed both and can confirmt hat it works :)

Actually, Stalin's principles were much closer to capitalism than true communism. He squandered lots of cash on exhuberant building projects and self glorification with massive monuments of himself while much of the population suffered in poverty. Hence why the Soviet Union launched a "de-Stalinization" programme after Stalin's death as they deemed his policies too capitalist. Most communists like to associate themselves with Lenin and Marx, but not Stalin.

Yes, you could convert the .ogg files to an mp3 format, but I've noticed that it downgrades the quality of the music quite a bit. To make these videos I converted them to .wav files instead. It kept the quality the same and Windows Media Player and my mp3 player can still play .wav files (and I'm sure an Ipod could too).
