look, kung fu was develped by a woman for the use of defending ur self mainly on the streets against people who do not know a martial art, aswell as for people who are compitant in martial arts. Ido it and i learn how to block and counterattack kicks and punches from many martial arts such as tae kwon do. Effectively it is the martial art u would want to know in a fight as it is slightly less aggresive and risky then muay thai, but more violent then karate.

I quite agree with bowser8375. War is war. There is no such as playing fair and rules when you have a hostile attacker. If war ever was fair, guns won't be invented, nor mustard gas, nor biological warefare, electronic warefare, etc. It's all about winning over your aggressor/ defending from an aggressor and diffuse conflict by rendering him ineffective... whichever way possible. Even using a gun is an art. It's not easy to get a small 1-1.5 inch grouping from 20 meters at all.

@Kryptonian2525 teach kung fu to special forces? rarely. first, effective martial arts like muay thai and jiu jitsu were used in war effectively 1000 years ago. those arts are still heavily used to train soldiers, from typical army grunt to spec ops, today. soldiers are most commonly taught some boxing, kick boxing, judo throws, and jiu jitsu / judo / wrestling ground control. local police forces routinely have their guys train at mma and bjj schools for takedowns and knife defense.

THAT is simple, not kicking your head off or being able to pull u to the floor. This Sifu is pretty good because he deals with the actual facts. Explains in detail what he's talking about and able to demonstrate it. This is how I teach. If you can make your students understand in real world is not pretty. Also if you can have fun with learning this also teaches you to relax. The way you practice is the way you fight.
