  • was that Bob Wills' "Steel Guitar Boogie" he played first?

  • ummmmm i quit

  • too much!

  • Damn!!!!......Good God Damn!!!

  • YEP ,,,, THE BEST I HAVE EVER SEEN,,,

  • Truly godlike. I bow down in homage.

  • Holy shit! I may retire from the guitar with guys like this out there.

  • I hate watching guys who have forgotten more about guitar playing than I will ever know. Great post.

  • ship dip Scooty is the man

  • The best hands down.

  • apoo3173 you have to be open minded, You have to analyze the ablities of Lenny Breau who is better than Scotty believe it or not, Wes Montgomerty is right there, Danny Gatton most spectacular player,Johny Smith the most perfect player; on and on these other players Hank Garland, Jimmy Bryant, Django Reinhardt, Tal Farlowe,& Joe Pass. mastercollector

  • I meet Scotty in 1980 with his friend Jim Rolph. I bought my strat from Jim and would sometimes here him and Scotty jamn in the living room. Scotty's from a different planet!

  • Not only is his guitar playing insanly brilliant, so together, so tight and precise, with all those amazing leads, passes, dazzling chord passes, and stunts. It would take at least 2 guitar players to pull off a quarter of his playing, but he looks to be the humblest person anyone would want to meet. why Scotty? You should be up there with Jeff Beck or Albert Lee meaning in the spotlight. You will always have my greatest respect.

  • Simply outstanding! I can listen to this stuff all night.

  • Seeing/hearing this makes me want to sell my guitars. WoW!

  • In two words: IM PRESSIVE

In three words: AWE SO ME

In four words: A MAZ IN G

  • Everytime I here that riff at 1:36 I think of Dukes of hazzard Chase scenes from 80's LOL

    Scott plays his Ass off!!!!!!!

  • Would someone please post more Scotty Anderson Videos.

  • yes ,possibly the best picker on the planet, truly flawless ,wonderful, its a shame these guys are not known, thanks to radio, and t.v ,a shame.

  • Scotty is known. If you play the guitar, regardless of genre or style, and if you don't know who he is; you're not a guitar player in my book. Real players know who he is. Nashville knows who he is. He walked away from Nashville, not the other way around. I don't blame him either.

  • OMG, this is awesome! Didn't know about this absolute musical genius. Thanks for posting!

  • Oh my... this is so frustrating! Why am I still trying to play this six-string-torture-thing they call guitar.

  • too amazing. Talk about tone for days...

  • Tho I see so many here ,many a great ones ,I can Hardly recall someone who impressed me that much in years ,lets say combining Jazz country swing + fingerstyle I would think he is the best .He well deserves a wider recognition ! Thanks for posting this.

  • I've known Scotty since 1980. Him and his friend Jim Rolph. Scotty comes from a different planet!

  • Hell, people in Cincinnati don't even know about him....and you can see him live just about every week....that's just wrong...

  • Scotty never sold out. And he never will!!

  • That's Rob Fetters there at the end - one of the best guitarists in Cincinnati history mouthing "Oh man" Adrain Belew called Scotty "an alien" - he boggles the mind of even the best players. And he's the nicest guy you'll ever meet.

  • this man is a bad asssss on the guitar, one of the greatest american virtuosos ever... for that matter the world. his fingerstyle is one of the best ever, he plays double stops faster than most could ever dream of.

  • Talent doesn't equate to fame. If so, guys like this would be rich and people like Paris Hilton would wallow in relative obscurity.

  • superfantamaravillotasticobuloso

  • i love his style! this guy is fantastic!

  • SUPERB!!!

  • That's the feeling....

  • Hey... And he is doing it on a Fender...

  • Yikes Stripes!! Fantastico. Amazerino!!

  • These videos of him are nothing compared to him live! He will blow your mind.

  • That's true, I've seen him play twice and talked to him and am getting to know him, a super nice person and the best player alive, and best since Danny and Lenny. Master Collector Don from Chicago

  • I heard Chet said he played Chet better than Chet did, lol.

  • modern day chet atkins... i love scotty

  • these are the amps i was tellin you i had dude.i love mine.kustom amps rock

  • How is Scotty Anderson not more famous! The guy is amazing!

  • Why is Scotty Anderson not more famous? 1. He knows more than three chords and has become a master musician by working his A-- off for years. 2. He seems to be a very nice person,ie., not willing to step on others on his way up. 3. He has character and principals. Good guys in today's world just don't finish first.

  • I was just about so start with the same thing, "he knows more than 3 chords!" etc., etc.

  • you nailed it

  • YOUR SO RIGHT! its a shame to the most talented are normally the nice ones and never get the praise they deserve but everyone goes crazy over "metal" or "thrash" players that play so fast and sloppy you cant make out the notes. yet scoty has pure tone and licks and its all played on a clean channel yet seldom notice.WHAT IS UP WITH THAT?

  • He's a little like Lenny Breau that way, but rest assured, any musician who knows anything has his jaw on the floor with Scotty. Scotty's the definition of a musician's musician.

  • Why is he not more famous? Because he never sold out. He plays for the joy of playing, not to make a buck. If he wanted to sell millions of records, he would play music which the idiot masses would buy. Those of us who really appreciate talent like Scotty's are relatively few.

  • I think the best alive and best since Gatton, and Breau. He is technically perfect. He is like Gatton, likes to play locally and doesn't care about fame and touring. master collector.

  • Gatton couldn't touch him.

  • xms32 technically like a machine he couldn't touch him but Gatton is heads and shoulders above anybody ever for being the most thrilling and most spectacular improvised player in historyu; don't kid yourself unless you've seen 60 plus video/dvd shhows and 80-100 audio segments on Gatton; and THAT takes a long fucking time. mastercollector

  • xms32 after watching and listening to tons of live shows of Gatton he isn't thechnically perfect like Scotty but his ferocious improvised chops put him right there with Scotty, Lenny Breaau, Wes Montgomery, Jimmy Bryant, Johny Smith, Hank Garland, Tal Farlowe, Joe Pass, Django, and Christian.
