  • if I had a penny for every fps in this video I would had a nickel

  • in the words of charlie sheen.. WINNING!!

  • is this set up with the original intake manifold? i honestly cant see. im looking to turbo my 04 ls sport but a hahn manifold is a little out of my budget.

  • Subarus are fuckin garbage. Go kill yourself. I work at a Subaru dealership and those fuckin pieces of shit come back to the shop as soon as they leave.

  • i want to know what u had to to the the trans for the auto to hold up to that kind of hp

  • awesome.. good looking racecar, i like the flag graphics on the back.. GBA! lol have fun

  • Got an '03 cavalier in CT that I could use some help with..... Awesome car just wish they were lighter from the factory

  • How does the transmission hold up if it auto? did you get a shift kit, and if you did where did you get it and how much was it? also did you have the head ported to handle a turbo? thanks awsome ride.

  • wow amazing..

  • That's freakin' AWESOME!

  • all this money for the car, why not spend a few dollars on a real camera

  • automatic = fail

  • what transmission? 4t40e?

  • the funny thing is this is actually a Toyota car hahahhaha... look it up, its in japan made from japan. but just different brand name ...

  • @lamahy1 A cavalier? Negative, do your research again. Most were built in Lordstown, Ohio. Some were built in South Carolina, some in Michigan, some in Wisconsin, some in Missouri. Chevy sold some Cavaliers to Toyota(returning the favor for the Corolla/Prism). Even those weren't built in Japan, but in America as well. The Ecotec engines were built in New York.

  • @lamahy1 god your dumb. its american, made in america by americans, all parts machined and asembled by americans.

  • @godcreatedinfantry lol. you were alittle too late to say that to me someone already told me how and why was it made and transport to japan. the dumb one is just you.

your the late bird. i'm sorry my friend. but you should becareful what you say b/c you seem alittle to late to tell me this.. this car was transport to japan b/c the corolla was given to chevy or watever company it was. so that company gave this car to toyota as a gift ... late bloomer u-r....

  • does the front tires hook up comin out of the bottom, some ppl hav improved their e.t's puttin solid wheelie bar systems on ff drive cars just to keep the ass up and front down. cause all that weight transfers over to the back causing the front of the car to lift, theirby less traction on the tires.

  • i got a 2000 cavalier 2.2 auto. any suggestions?

  • Jeez!! That fast off a 3 speed auto? Dammmm

  • I literally cannot believe someone spent thousands of dollars on a cavalier, but who am I to judge. If that's your hobby, I really don't have a problem with it, it will smoke whatever I'm driving.

  • on the dyno how did you keep it in gear so it wouldnt downshift as you stepd on it?

  • well, in old cars theres a link to the tranny for telling it how far you are pushing it and if it needs to downshift a gear or two, if this ecotec works as so all you need to do is remove that link and done, no dowshifting, no matter how far you push it!

  • @soperdd . hahahahah you are truely retarded. this motor was partially developed by toyota. stock block with cylinder resleeving can handle 1000+ horsepower all day. learn some facts before you try and sound like you know anything about cars

  • Wow how much for that bad boy.

  • @elmermt - Fred set that turbo kit up for not that much money. hes got the Garrett t-61, intercooler and all the other mods needed to support the boost. you can probably get all the parts to make the kit for 3k ish ... plus or minus. i want the same setup he has on my 03 cavi! Fred does amazing work with the J-bodies !!!

  • is it treally a automatic seriously

  • prolly about 2000 to 2200 pounds my friend had a fully gutted cav and it wieghs 2176 pounds

  • anyone know how much this car weighs?

  • i wish i could find a turbo for my automatic cavy ...im guessing they made this one homemade?

  • yea they probably did, it's not extremely hard to do if you want some advice on it; message me.

  • yeah they did at the begining of the vid they said custom built turbo......... smg motoring is an awesome company for the ecotecs they can build you pretty much anything you need and send it to you. people dont realize this is just a turbo kit and minor upgrades. not a full built motor if they did more to it it would run 10's high 9's. but this is just to show the ecotec people they can do minor things and hang with the big boys.

  • i dont get it... why doesnt that car run faster? its just cavy shell, no interior and it only does 11's?

Theres a cobalt 2.4 with a stage 3 turbo kit installed, full interior, stock tranny, stock internal motor with slicks, it ran an 11.8. That cavy should be doing 10's with all the work and weight reduction

  • my first car-97 camaro z28. my second- 91 s10 notched with a 305 tbi transplant, 14 inch rims and 50 series tires. threw a rod which led to a blown gasket(completely my fault for revin without a load at the fart tip fucks who thought they had game) shoulda seen my exhaust. had that shit runnin out my tailgate so i could slam the body lol.. third car- 09 chevy cobalt ss. if it aint chevy it wont last. not to mention that the 25k i spent was kept right here in america.

  • @thedaveownsall yeah btu the car wasnt made in america

  • so explain why!

  • subies usually can go 150,000 and still run fine chevy's get to 150,000 and you got all kinds of messed up problems also did you know that dodge reliability rate went up to, so point being i would rather tune a car with a high reliability rate and good status to work with than a car with a low reliability rate and good status, dont get me wrong chevy has a good status there just not reliable.

  • u cant mix reliability and dodge in the same sentence,i only have GM's (5) and passed 140000miles with three of them,no problems yet, only maintenance, subaru is known for their bad engines(explode on boost pressure)because it an other engine type,i have to say dodge is better than before(i owned two)buty if u look at the dodge caravan, this car was a piece of shit,i scrap cars and i know what im talking about, chrysler make big cars, but not strong, chassis prob,2 light for the size, not the chalenger

  • so you are saying subaru's blow engine because of there boost, i have seen and heard many people who own subaru's say there car is still running fine with 100,000 plus miles on it, and with the boost exploding are you sure they were stock subie's or were they tune subie's.

  • bry3685-it all depends in how you take care of your car. My uncle owns a subaru and doesnt take good care of it and now has problems with only 110,000 miles. Also if you dont like Chevy why are you even on this page? Dont you have enough common sense to not visit a page you dont like?

  • I've had a chevy for 3 years and i've never had a problem with it, the only problem so far was a dead battery and that was cause the battery was about 6 years old. I'll agree there are some lemons out there but all the chevys i know of are EXTREMELY reliable.

  • I'll try to remember that next time I see a GM car over 200k.

  • why are you even watching the video dude.. subarus and dodges are the worst cars to get. my family has drove chevys my whole life and i own two chevys with 163,xxx miles on my 2001 camaro no problems but the cat converter. and my 82 silverado 168,xxx and runs strong only problem with that was valve cover gaskets. GM builds some of the most reliable and powerful engines known to man.

  • sad part is you cant afford a subaru or a dodge u can afford a chevy so stfu

your retarded they did an amazing job with this car

  • you dumbass i own a dodge

  • @1monsta1 Are you mentally challenged for real man? or are you just acting like it?

  • I amtrying to get impressed with this, but I am having a hard time with it. I do have a question though, why are there slicks on the back of the car? The Video makes it hard to get a good look at them, but they look like slicks.

  • they had to of put low compression parts in the engine or that thing would blow a

    head gasket in a second

  • don't u think they have copper head gasket?? c'mon

  • we see u dont know ecotecs cause this engine is one of the most solid 4 cylinders engine ever!it comes with only 140 horse power but can handle 400-450 hp on stock internal!

  • dude i knew that

im just sayin im sure its pushin waaay

over that limit and i was just tryin to figure

out the stuff he used to do it

  • ecotec!!!!!!

  • I had heard that GM was getting 1300 or so horsepower out of the stock ecotec casting. They started off squirting laughing gas in a stock motor... more and more until it finally blew up at around 400 horse, then worked with the internals from there.

  • it would be awesome to have that kinda cash to experiment like that... more boost.. more boost... BOOM.. ok, too much boost..

  • LOL

  • awesome seen this at NED before, wish i did this to my old 98 Z24

  • The video is a little choppy but DAMN quick Cavy!! One of my friends' has a 05 Cavy and he's building it for time attack! Those cars are really light for what it is! Doesn't take too much to make it even lighter. He's all motor for now but is looking to get a Turbine Supercharger kit and looking for 300hp or so with it. He has a cold air, custom cat back and port & polish head. 165fwhp and the TSC kit adds 100hp to it on stock "everything!" Ecotec's are bad ass.

  • very nice cavy

  • Took the car back to the track...went 11.3 @ 132 mph.

Car had a 1.98 60ft and went 104 mph at the 1/8 mile mark

  • 330whp and 11's? wow!

  • I can believe that. Look at the interior, that thing probably weighs as much as my bath tub.

  • f'n nice man, I need to get my car back to the track....... and lighter too lol

  • can the same be done to a 5 speed cavy with same or better results??

  • Sure, why would it be any worse?

It's a lot of money for a build like that though.

  • well .. automatic tranny is the way to go for 12secs and less ... you lose time changing gear with 5speed

  • oh,so now they've change it, and it's "350 at the pump gas",on 93 whp fuel, cool!!

  • 350 at the pump gas its written in the video

  • how much hp this car is making to run 11sec??i'm gonna guess somewhere between 500-600hp but not sure!!

  • The car currently in this config with 15-16 psi is making 330 whp...the car weighs 2335lbs with driver. The car will be back on the dyno sept 27th to put it up over 400whp in hopes to achieve a 10 sec pass. Will keep everyone updated on that

  • speechless!!

  • that's nuts man! glad you finally did it! too bad I didn't have a chance to see it!
