  • @ohyesitsjess12

    Yeah right,

And if she sing a song from The Rollings Stones, she will be better that Mick Jagger, in Taylors's song I only hear the screaming of her 15 year old fans.

Your generation should be asking forgiveness for what you have done with music.

Because all tthe music made after the 80's sucks big time.

    Just go listen to bieber.

  • @gapuni You can't blame a whole generation for the fact that you don't like the music nowadays. P.S....I do not listen to Justin Bieber.

  • @ohyesitsjess12

Sorry, i was in a bad mood.

  • nobody could over sing a song like Kim....

  • In her prime (in this video) Kim Carnes was one hot babe.......use your imagination about what I would do for her....yeah that's right... pretty hot uh !?

  • thombs up if Taylor Swift brought u here! <3

  • Great song. She reminds me of Sally Kellerman from "Back to Schoo"l Movie. Were the Blond Cougars of the 80's Hotter then most women 2day? I think so...

  • Her last name means ''meat'' in spanish

  • @eddyspeaksenglish

no, it means meatS, as in many types, carne=meat, carneS will be different kinds of meat.

    Good Bye.

  • Tomorrowland 2012 brought me here lol

  • (1ª Parte.)

  • Taylor brought me here.:)

  • tudo de bom

    very nice very good

    fantastic

    amo muito tudo isto

  • my good taste brought me here

  • I have never heard of Kim Carnes before, but this song sounds legendary to me. And I don't know what note she hit at 2:46 but it made my emotions explode. Her voice is so unique.

  • @HeavenHillRevival same here :-) thats why i came to this page

  • @HeavenHillRevival june what?

  • I was a very poor working class kid, the family couldn't afford to go on holiday and we had a B/W TV when most of the shows were in colour. So I had penpals. I had 4 in the U.S. and 2 in Europe. By the time I was 19 I only had the U.S. penpals. I saved for 3 years., got a wage advance and at 23 I organised the trip off a lifetime to visit them. This was playing on the radio all the time I was visiting my penpals in AL, IN and NY. It was the time of life! Thanks Kim!

  • @HardWarUK nice!!!! thanks for share it!!!! :)

  • @panzerkunst1 Your welcome! :)

  • @HardWarUK Awesome story.

  • I i was a kid when this music first played. i think what makes it special is the contrast between her voice and the crystal clear guitar chords

  • if taylor brought u here, ur fuckin gay.

  • I don't believe Bonnie Tyler ever did a cover of this song but their voices are very much similar.

  • I totally respect Kim Carnes as a original artist, but I prefer Taylor's version, it's just....softer.

  • Should've been Betty White Eyes lol

  • see dislike bar, i cant see it

  • of wich year is this?

  • @wearethey27 2009

  • @wearethey27 1981

  • Who is Bette Davis?

  • @Wierdgirl5834 - Are you freakin' kidding me?? You're an ignorant moron. She's a famous, classic actress, with a career spanning from 1931 to 1989. Look things up before you ask stupid questions.

  • @Wierdgirl5834 That's like your future grandchildren asking you — in 2050 — "Grandma, who's Charlize Theron?"

  • @selatik1 ah ah ah ah this made my day :)

  • This actually was on #1 of the charts on the day my parents married:P

  • @Reffots That's also my birthday! :) Great things happen in May! :)

  • Amazing song! My dad used to play this on his car all the time on our trips to the south of Spain hehe

  • Kelly Cutrone's cover brought me here. ;)

  • That drummer is motivated as shit man..........lol

  • This video is "wang chung"-ing. (You've got fields reversed, or are doing pull-down wrong. P.S. Song ROCKS!)

  • @AdmiralQuality P.P.S. Wang Chung's Everybody Wang Chung Tonight video was obviously collected from separate takes. Unlike this, which is just the usual field-order hi-jinx.

  • I used to think she was Rod Steward's twin sister because of the raspy voice.

  • Que buen tema!! Esto si que es música!

  • Topher Grace brought me here(:

  • kin carnes , morada do sol, araraquara anos 70.

  • thank taylor swift for bringing me here<3

  • @pawleenydaweeny same here!

  • @KristenSara21 me 2

  • @KristenSara21 ya same!

  • if anyone wants to hear a great bette davis slapping story, go look at Tired Old Queen at the Movies, "The Private Lives of Elizabeth and Essex" and hear how she slapped the living daylights out of Errol Flynn.

  • what are bette davis eyes?

  • @dismemberednecromorf she was an actor i think

  • Ok, you might know the song and the title but do any of you know who the real Bette Davis was? "Fasten your seatbelts! it's going to be a bumpy night!"

  • love it!

  • I had this song on 12"disc... Made my life in Jr. High. I am 44 now LOL.

  • very nice song

  • Stop your bickering, music and times change at least there is no,"rapping" in it. I am old enough to remember the original but im still living enough to know how music and taste is changing,(mostly not to the better). Mylo's remix was good but not as good as this tocadisco mix. Dont put the blockers on it just listen.to the, "Tocadisco remix of in my arms."

  • Bette Davis will live on forever

  • DE WUEVOSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS

  • i was trying to find a song that goes: "nobody knows you , nobody cares.." i thought it was this song. we need an 1980s community here on youtube for info about song and music from back then.

  • I can't listen to this without thinking about "Buckwheat Sings" from Saturday Night Live

  • Cool voice and very cool the black sunglasses too

  • All that I can think about when watching this video is the various ways that I could pleasure Kim Carnes if I was lucky enough to be her love slave.

  • RiShitna's S&M ripps off this song!!

  • I love the musical reference to Gary Numan's Cars.. I love how it brings back all the other music I heard when I lived in Sedona... I love how it reminds me of how it felt to be 19 ...but mostly, I love how it evokes the damp gray smell of the rain falling on the dry desert soil one September afternoon just before the sun set

  • @skoockum

when does she make a reference to gary numan's cars here? i love both these songs.

  • @The096757 "does she make a reference to gary numan's cars here?"

Not in a literal verbal sense. As far as I can tell, no part of the lyrics allude in any way to Cars. But musically Bette Davis Eyes is noticeably influenced by Cars, esp. the keyboard and some of the drum voicing.

  • @skoockum

you sound like another 20 year old creating imaginary facts. everyone was using keyboards back then that is why it was so good... before ghetto weirdo music became pre programmed into the keyboards and synthesizers.

at one time some people just made good music spontaneously and were not "influenced" by anything.

  • @The096757 Why do I always attract the biggest idiots? But I guess you wouldn't have any idea abut that, considering that you're one of them.

  • @skoockum

i doubt you attract anyone and you are clearly the idiot to say kim carnes was influenced by The Cars or others using synthesizers at the same time.

  • @The096757 It's a funny thing that my last post will always be the most appropriate response to anything you are ever likely to say to me again -- as it is with your last two comments.

Here's how it works for you: when you say something to me it will be further proof that you're an idiot. My response is what I wrote in my last comment. All you need to do is reread it. It might seem like I'm ignoring you, but I'm not, because I've already given you the only answer you'll ever deserve.

  • @The096757 They poster was saying there was a REFERENCE to Gary Newmans song "Cars" she mentioned nothing about The Cars (a fine band in my opinion). Maybe you should understand a comment before you go calling someone an idiot.

  • @Wendyhasachannel

i understood what they said the first time but i still do not see any proof this is similar to gary numan's cars other than the use of synthesizers.

  • check the drummer out at 48 secs homie was killing it lol

  • este tema es y sera uno de los mejores que he escuchado en mi vida, gracias x subirlo

  • Kim Carnes' "Crazy in the Night" is a much better song. Go watch that instead of this one.

  • Taylor Swift's version is the best.

  • @Jbrum1990 Excuse me? I mean, there´s nothing wrong with liking Taylor´s version better, but to say its the "best" is a wild exaggeration.

Kim Carnes voice is too unique and cool to be compared with Taylor Swift´s. Sorry.

  • @vonkaunaz Oh, I forgot your personal opinion was the best and most correct. Darn. I can't believe I did that. Silly me.

  • like if u think taylor swift destroyed this song ;)

  • "pro blush" way awsomer than "crow blush" Huh?

  • how can ny snow be pure after it has been stepped on?

  • Better than poetry :)

  • fuck taylor swift

  • @crisgia yeahhh lol fuck that cunt
