40 years ago I used to run a ski boat that could go faster than that! It had a Mercury "tower of power" outboard on a boat that was really too small for the motor. One time I borrowed a 28" cupped stainless racing prop and got about 60mph 3 up but that prop was useless for skiing. I suppose the poachers don't have fast boats so almost anything will do. Nice boat but cats are the future.
