You should research the form of bi level layouts to make sure that your design will please you with another level on top and still work well. now is the time to change the layout plan for the first level if it will ever need to be... it will be much more costly to change the form of a 2 level layout because it doesn't flow right or its just not the right plan for 2 levels... I know you are doing lots of planning and it looks great by the way!

I never have liked 2 level layouts, but I only have one thought.Is 36 inches too low for the bottom level... what about 42 and 60,?
