  • Graham is killing this tune! Tasty slick fill at at 3:41 that makes my pants tighter.

I assume this video was made in 1981 just based on the lead guitarist's pants.

  • @gravybeard How could this video have come out in 1981 when the song came out in 1986? It was shot in 2001. It says it on the description.

  • Nice to see Paul Simon enjoying himself on this one. Taking liberties and doing a very Van Morrison ' Caravan' type ending. It's sometimes tough for a singer/songwriter of Paul Simon's stature to appear at an event where most musicians are only interested in displaying their technical abilities. He does it anyway.

  • small daily 2011 we have a bubble in boy and we look to distant virgin mother where did this cart from the horse seperated from the hey. dead sand was a mudder. her distant constellation black gold fairgrounds africa president show me your kenyan birther cert. These are the days when the Honeymmonners said To the Moon, Alice!

  • Bad sound quality, and Paul butchers the melody. In almost every version of the song that I've heard him sing, he's thrown it away completely. I hate that.

Your drumming is phenomenal, however, and I wish I could form a rhythm section with you! Keep it up!

  • if you play the same song over and over again...expect a different version from time to time

  • I'm sorry but this performance is bad in just about everyway imaginable. This band has completely destroyed an otherwise excellent song.

Paul has no repect for the melody and is just making it up as he goes along and his dancing is a total embarressment at 2:30. The guitar playing is out of tune and too loud, infact the entire mix makes my ears bleed.

It's clear that Paul Simon just did not care on this occasion.

  • where is this from?

it's a great song by the way.

  • Great to see Bakithi Kumalo back on the fretless Bass but I could have done without mr meatl on the guitar. A very poor version of Adrian Belew.

  • I'm not sure, but it looks like Bakithi is playing the original bass he used on the Graceland tour. Only time I've seen him use it since then.

  • He's playing a Washburn (Force 40 or 80) fretless.

I'm actually referring to our friend on the lead guitar...not nearly sympathetic to the tune for my ears.

  • The original Washburn bass had white pickups.

  • @BassmanII white pickupson the myrthra social aid and pleasure club? we echo

  • jamie haddad (black shirt) is great too

  • Thanks for posting, the audio has some kind of flutter thing, but it's still cool to see and you're an awesome drummer.

  • thanks. the compression is not very good - I'll redo it sometime.

  • beautifull...a master piece

  • this song is very powerful with lots of love

  • wow amazing, thankx

  • i don't really like paul simon, but steve shehan is awesome, you see him playing percussion about 1 min and 13 seconds into the video.

  • have you heard steve's solo records? nice stuff.

  • yeah i own 4 of his cds: arrows, roads, safar, and assarouf.

  • Great! Thanks for posting!
