i fly from this airport alot and i got stuck on that elevator with my sister but it opened eventually it was scary hah we thought we were gonna miss our flight.
I've heard that I KNOW they are not allowed for the call buttons, but inside the cab, it might be ok? the alarm bell, door close and door open were not touch sensitive
You could get away with a touch-sensitive buttons provided a blind person is able to feel where the buttons is. Flush surface buttons are not allowed.
The Wake County government building has these for the call buttons...

they are as long as there inside the cab. also the door buttons, bell and any other emergency operating functions has to be a regular push button

there were braile plates by the buttons. and the alarm bell door open and door close were regular push buttons.
