They used to be a brilliant band! Pop was their last great record with purpose. Ever since they've just been this crusty old band plodding along with their formula making cheesy (Elevation, Vertigo, Get on your boots) crap! Oh, and don't get me started on Saint Bono - jumping on every political bandwagon there is just so he can make a speech over the introduction of One for every gig and mock any integrity that great song has in its own right. That singer needs to be brought down a peg or two

yeah you are quite right. The people who've not heard The Joshua Tree and seen Rattle and Hum don't know the true value of U2! used to be a magical band. Magnificent gives hope though!
i completely agree with the boots. its crap. i mean c'mon, "get on your boots". what a blast of epic sound and meaning..........
