True. As the year of movie suggests, she was very young. This reminds me a sad episode at the beginning of her career. Ghulam Haidar confident of her talent had taken her to Ram Mukherji, who refused to sign with some nasty comments. Haidar immediately himself recorded song in Majboor (1948).- a song from this movie "dil meraa todaa ....o mujhe kahiin kaa na chhodaa .....haay tere pyaar ne" is still heard on SLBC Radio Broadcast. This was a beginning and stalwarts like ..

Naushad, S D Burman, Khemchand Prakash signed immediately. May be Anil Biswas too might have followed it (I don't remember of it from an article). Even otherwise Lata ji owes so much to Anil Da who had encouraged her and made perfecting the pitches and high tone. A gem of a song from Laadlii - Tumhare Bulane Ko Jii Chaahta Hai with Lata ji and Anil Da combo is still heard endlessly.
