  • Sad, very sad. Whatever has pushed this man over the edge, he needs our sympathy and thoughts, not to be subjected to jokes and murth that belong in the 19th century.

  • @CUGS2009 ? well now we all knw what comes with the job and if he had a melt dow then so be it i apoligize but maybe he should of talked to someone and booked time of or went and seen someone about the stress...there are people he can see about his anxiety or frustration or what ever the case may be.....i dont feel that he woke up that day a happy little peach and prob knew he was under stress.....there are signs you know....

  • @karategirl676 That's no excuse for people here to show no empathy whatsoever. Mental illness is like any other illness.

  • did the flight att. have to land it herself or did the other one do it and she was just helping?

  • If he was sectioned into an Irish Psychiatric hospital he is still there, people have got lost for decades in the system

  • omg lmao! are you for real!!! who the heck has a mental break down flyn a flippn plane!!!! wow now ive heard it all......what a dumb ass..maybe he needed his holidays ha ha ha ha ..what an idiot

  • @karategirl676 I hope you never suffer mental illness because if you do in the future, you may care to think back to your post on You Tube.

  • if the flight attendent had a commercial pilot licence why not be a pilot instead of having to listen to people all day and night and make a little extra money

  • @mastersniper1999 not easy to get the hours and even harder to get hired

  • he could of just went to london. im preety sure those no other airports in the ocean..

  • The Captain was well enough for landing alone, without making an emergency landing... not a big deal.

  • Its probably more like a little bout w/ captain who then categorized it as mental!

Then the poor soul has no choice but to play along the game, and hospitalized for two weeks of sort of like a little break if not a vacation; s__t like that happens in workplace once in a while; been there done that!

  • its interesting that this was a boeing 767 pilot who had a breakdown. I was on an air canada 767 from toronto to vancouver and on takeoff there was quite a loud cracking sound and the vibration it put through me was very strong and it scared the hell out of me. I felt this aircraft out a very nasty feel through my body on takeoff from the noise it made. I personally think this aircraft gave the pilot a breakdown

  • i have a Flight Simulator X License if you want my help again ... :P

  • why did this happen?

    shit pay

    shit working conditions

    zero respect from customers

  • @voldemort2123 pilots are overpaid. slackers.

  • @SoCalDualSport go do what they do for one day instead of working at mcdonald's then tell me that

  • @SoCalDualSport people who are in this line of work do it because they love it, it's not about the money, but most people like you don't understand what it's like to like your job, not because of the pay but because of the work.

  • @voldemort2123 You said they do it cuz they love it and at the same time you say they get shit pay, shit working conditions and zero respect from customers. Why do they love it if it's so terrible. Pilots have it made. They're livin the dream. Alot of them are union crybabies.

  • @SoCalDualSport I don't know what world you're living in, but barely making more then a McDonald's cashier doesn't sound like overpaid to me. I love it, because despite all the crap parts, flying is in my blood, Leo DaVinci has a very famous quote "For once you have tasted flight you will walk the earth with your eyes turned skywards, for there you have been and there you will long to return."

This quote still gives me goosebumps.

  • @voldemort2123 If you are not a complete idiot, you make a pretty decent wage as a pilot....unless you are a fool. I know a couple pilots. One of them drives a new corvette and parks it in a gated community. keep tryin to fool me.

  • @SoCalDualSport It has nothing to do with being an idiot, it has to do with time, you can't make a lot of money unless you get hired by the majors, you can't get hired by the majors unless you have a lot of hires, you can't get a lot of hours unless you're rich to begin with, or work at a regional carrier. You can't work at a regional carrier and make a decent living. Civil aviation isn't what it was 20 or even 10 years ago.

  • @voldemort2123 I agree. Having gone from training at Delta Connection Academy (Putting me way in the red) to Air Wisconsin before transitioning 2 years later to ANA out of Tokyo working the 777 Int'l fleet (the result of connections I had), I do it because I have always enjoyed not only takeoff and climbing, but the thrill of the entire flight itself from the standpoint of simply being airborne. Best flying memory out of all I have had to date (Many of them): My first solo as a student.

  • @InuKun2008 and you are one of the luckiest people. I know a ton of good pilots who'd kill to get a job at a company like ANA after only flying for two years for a regional.

  • @SoCalDualSport maybe but since they are a key position on he company u better keep them happy.

  • This job puts an enourmus stress on people, physically as well as mentally. Most people don't realize that being in a pressurized tube is not healthy. YOu cannot say being in a pressurized container is normal

  • I think the attendant must have sucked this guys cock for a while and threatened to tell this guys wife if he did not keep his promise of helping here get a flying job with the airline sort of makes sense..and he looked at his options and thought fuck it Ill pretend to have a breakdown this way she gets a quick head start helping her get the airline job in the future by a crash course in flying this big bitch I bet siting at the interview for the airline this would help her chance of a dream job

  • Why not glide the additional 100 miles or so to LHR..? (I know, nearest suitable)

  • @BigBearVids They didn't glide because they had 2 functioning engines.....

  • @murray2612 Forget the engines - I think Bigbear's point IS... why not just continue to the destination--> LHR, its basically a 'glide' from O/Head SNN to LHR \.and then at least you're at the destination, and no pax inconvenienced. Mental wards are better in England anyway, right?

  • landed in shannon, omg sending more crazy yanks here.

  • Flight attendant? Nope, Commercial pilot who is also a flight attendant. Let's give her credit due. She wasn't a flight attendant helping to land the plane, she is a commercial pilot who is also a flight attendant.

I bet there aren't many flight attendants who happen to be commerical pilot's!

  • @jjdiver you're totally right, in fact she probably only became a flight attendant because she couldn't find a job up front

  • @voldemort2123 She is a commerical pilot which doesn't allow her to fly scheduled passenger flights, such as those she is working as a flight attendant. Commerical pilots may fly for compensation, but not for scheduled passenger flights. One example of what a commerical pilot may do is fly planes for skydivers. Skydivers are not scheduled passenger flights. I suspect crop dusters are also required to be commercial pilots. Towing banners, photog flights, etc.. Even charters, I think.

  • @jjdiver You may be right for the U.S but here commercial pilots can fly right seat any airline chartered or not

  • @jjdiver what are you talking about, CPL holders can fly anything except be captains on planes over 12,500lbs? You need an ATPL to be a captain. Where did you get this info? You're completely wrong.

  • "sedated" passengers opened the door and told him to stfu before he got thrown.

  • "and then sedated" how the hell do they manage to have some sort of drugs to sedate the pilots?

  • I wonder what the crap happened to him?

  • Sedated? Is it a practice for airplanes to have sedatives stocked or do travelling doctors carry their doctor bag filled with medication for every flight in case duty calls?

  • thats one of my wishes in life; first officer/captain is unable to do his/her duties and they ask if there are any pilots in the cabin....120 hrs flight time/ flying since age 9/ flight simming since before i can remember. But overall i hope that doesnt really happen as i would feel sorry for the first officer/captain.

  • Canadians... Justin Bieber is a Canadian.....

  • Another female pilot saves the day!

  • @TheNova1960 Another? Who was the first?

  • @broLAXgoalie12 That would be me...LOL

  • His wife was cheating on him, he had a nervous breakdown because she left him for a woman turning lesbian, according to the followup news story.

  • @xlr8up Yeah, I heard his wife was doing some pussy licking.

  • i would shit myself on a plane if the captain asked for someone who knew how to fly!

  • She's as much a pilot as she is a flight attendant.

  • @bartmaster1234

that joke is so old ;)

  • Cock-pit.......

  • @bartmaster1234 You have a very loose cock-pit.

  • @phreak761 Well Played Sir.

  • Haha, the plane experienced aerotoxic syndrome due to leakage of tricresyl phosphate (TCP) into the plane's bleed air. This has been blamed on problems with leaking engine seals.Neurotoxic fumes have been known to incapacitate pilots..

  • He realllyyyyyyyyyy wanted some McNuggets.

  • If the flight attendant had a commercial pilots license, then why the hell did she become a flight attendant and not a pilot the pay is 3 times better.

  • @sunatnatas1 Probably didn't meet the minimum qualifications, i.e. 3000tt, 1000 turbine PIC.

  • @sunatnatas1 Probably because airliners weren't hiring back then due to the economic crisis. You have to pay the interest any how.

  • y didnt other pilot land the plane

  • @aaronrodgers77 One pilot can land a plane but the work load is just next to impossible if the landing is to be done right, usually one pilot will fly while the other will contact the ground control and complete the checklists.

  • FUCK UNSKIPPABLE ADS!!!! STUPID GAY COMMERCIAL WHORES!!!!!

  • Anyone reminded of the movie "Airplane"?

  • Can you imagine flying in a plane and an announcement's made asking if there's a qualified pilot on board. I'd look at my watch to check if its April 1st :-)

  • @geoffphuket I'd ask for another whiskey.

  • FACT: London isn't Ireland

  • Transcript : "I've just realized that all matter is merely energy condensed to a slow vibration – that we are all one consciousness experiencing itself subjectively. There's no such thing as death, life is only a dream, and we're the imagination of ourselves... and I'm not wearing a fucking seatbelt... weee, look at me mom... whooo oh no... i think I've done a poo... quick the flaps Jim the flaps... trouser gear down.. can you see my chocolate landing light? *garbled*" end.

  • Comment removed

  • @pcvideogamer I should of said "Chocolate runway..." instead of 'landing-light' damn and blast and H E double L :)

  • @pcvideogamer funniest thing I've ever read on Youtube, well done.

  • @pcvideogamer Listen to a little Tool, do ya?

  • @jonesy97 no.. but i know why you asked :) I'm a big Bill Hicks fan... always have been :)

  • @pcvideogamer Yeah, Maynard and Adam Jones were HUGE Bill Hicks fans, too! Cool, brother. Rock on!

  • @pcvideogamer

For a brief moment I thought this was the actual transcript, and I was confused because it didn't sound like a mental breakdown. Until I got to the second half, and then further confusion as I tried to reconcile the prior with the later half... Then I realized I heard the first part before. Oh Bill Hicks how we miss you.

  • @PoorRichardSaunders haha yeah sorry :) oh Bill... Bill, he left us a lasting legacy, i miss him, cheers

  • Is there anyone on board who did not have fish for dinner?

  • OMG IN IRELAND?!!! That's where I live!

  • dont call me shirley

  • @russellmantz LMAO ! ! !

  • WOOT ! She has a Commercial Licence to fly Why is she just a Flight attendant ?

  • @1968DodgePolara because at least in the US when I was flying, you needed a min 250 hrs to get license, but no big outfit is going to hire you unless you got close to 1000 hours.

  • @PhrynosomaTexas ok thanks I don't know too much about Commercial Pilot License sounds like a catch 22 how can you get the 1000 hours of flying time in if they want hire you too get them flying a Commercial Jet ?

  • @1968DodgePolara You have to continue paying for hours yourself or you get hired on as a small time instructor pilot, ferrying cargo or people in little planes, photo shoots, running hunters into cabins in Alaska, etc.

  • The co-pilot had just been given his duty schedule and paycheck!

  • @ecktoeman "So I'm supposed to work until four in the morning and I only get five bucks an hour? Wkwhcshcbsdkudsburgerschickenfiresferraris..."

  • click it or ticket

  • I wouldn't mind taking over those air crafts on any given day. The cockpit is the only part of an aircraft that i just love !!!

  • Shirley?

  • When Kramer hears about this, the shit gonna hit the fan!

  • I just wanna tell you both good luck, we're all counting on you.

  • @9sorem9 and stop calling me Shirley!!!!

  • @9sorem9 LOL. Airport is a great movie!

  • @9sorem9 from your comment "I just wanna tell you both good luck, were all counting on you:, is that from Airplane! the movie?

  • @9sorem9 don't call me surly ...

  • @9sorem9 just don't call him surely.

  • @9sorem9

    RIP! Best quote ever!

  • @9sorem9 Stop calling me Shurely!

  • Pilot: Right you are. And I don't know about you, but this pretty much led to my drinking problem.

  • wow! i never thought of that excuse to go and bang the flight attendant lol ; p

  • The reason why this particular flight was diverted to Shannon is because it was bound for Heathrow, which has one of the most complex approach procedures in the world. Shannon is a much simpler airport to approach and complete the checklists. And not just the procedures, but the sheer volume of traffic over London is terrifying

to a new NATS controller. A plane landing and taking off every 30 seconds. Not much room for error!

  • I am a first officer with BA, I have many close friends who are fully qualified commercial pilots but are working as cabin crew with various airlines across the UK due to the lack of jobs and P2F schemes

  • When they landed the pilot said, "Shoo! Man O Man. This calls for a blow job.

  • Two doctors onboard said that he was in a ‘confused and disorientated state’. The captain also reported that his colleague became uncharacteristically ‘belligerent and unco-operative’ and was ‘effectively incapacitated’. One passenger at the time reported seeing the distraught co-pilot yelling for God as he was being restrained.

  • They need to give her a nice ass promotion !!!

  • Awesome. The flight attendants can kick your ass if you don't want to wear a seat belt now.

  • does the captain really need help landing a plane?

  • @Jrink30 the workload bringing in an Airliner can be stressfull and overwhelming, thats why there is a co-pilot in the first place. Its a safety issue.

  • @Jrink30 It's about safety and CRM.

  • all bullshit.....the captain must really suck if he cant land the plane by himself.

  • Where is he?

    In the cockpit.

    What is it?

A little room at the front of the plane.

  • I'm glad that I play Flight Simulator X professionally and know enough about planes in real life.

  • @KillerZetzz LOL

  • @KillerZetzz And I have 1,400 hours in real aircraft with a private pilot's license, instrument, night, mountain and multi-engine ratings.

    I win.

  • @TheCriticalCanadian And my dad has more 2x more hours and experience than you. And I am not showing off, I am just saying that I could help pilots for a last resort in desperate times.

  • @KillerZetzz Oh. Let's just agree to disagree then. All three of us would be competent should an entire flight crew go tango uniform.

    Agree?

  • Why would they need to make such an announcement. The pilot is capable of flying the plane alone.

  • WELCOME TO SHANNON,IRELAND........the quietest airport on the planet that can land any plane...even those Airbus A380's.....love it....no queuesDOTcom

  • Flight attendant: "Please attention. Is there a doctor among you to sedate the co-pilot?"

After some minutes she returns: "Please attention once more. Is there a co-pilot among you to land the plane?"

  • Why is a Flight Attendant with a Pilots Licence just a Flight Attendant? Bugger serving coffee and dealing disgruntled idiot passengers. He/She should have gotten a job flying.....

  • @robdotcom71 because no one wants to hire pilots with low time, right now

  • @robdotcom71 I'm sorry you don't believe me. I understand.

  • When I was 11, I was on a Boeing 247, and the pilot had a seizure. There was no copilot on that flight, and I, along with my grandmother, were the only two passengers. I had read about piloting in school, and knew enough to take the controls. I landed it perfectly at Idlewild Airport in New York, and received a medal of honor from Mayor LaGuardia.

  • @madamerotten and then you woke up and it was all a dream.... ?

  • @JoeoftheInternet No, it is a true account.

  • @madamerotten wow that is pretty awesome! Are you a pilot now?

  • @DDbRowN67 I had a career as a school teacher, but I'm retired now, and almost 80.

  • @madamerotten Well I don't think many people would really believe such accounts on the internet. I have a Master's in Aerospace - but people don't even believe that it is true. Sorry, but I don't believe you.

  • @FBIRoyLindell Sorry.....how is it so that you don't think some person aged 80 had a career as a schoolteacher??????......when they were the appropriate age years ago...mind boggles

  • At the back of her head "I never had a pilot license" But i really wanted to see the cockpit and how it looks... Oh well i've still played flight sims

  • Thanks for flying cattle trans. No wonder he had a breakdown. Bus drivers.

  • Lol ... good morning passengers ... this is your captain speaking ... have we any flight simulator players travelling onboard today ?... if so please make yourself known to the crew.

"Good morning ... this is your co pilot speaking .... *GIBBERISH*"

  • lucky FA!

  • That's interesting that a flight attendant has a commercial pilot's license

  • It's bad enough having ads, but do we really have to be showed duran duran's new crappy music. Seriously... they are way past their prime.

  • Ahh what about the Pilot( Captain)

  • I have flown on many long flights such as this transatlantic flight and there are always more pilots than 2 pilots on board. It has something to do with the amount of hours a pilot can fly (NOT WORK) per day, week, month AND year. From what I've noticed, 1 pilot will usually come out of the cockpit, sit in an empty 1st class seat and take a break after the plane is at cruising altitude. The 1st time I saw a pilot come out of the cockpit and fall asleep I thought I was on a hidden camera show!

  • @motenak They only have more than 2 pilots on 18+ hour flights if im correct. And I think the toronto to london flight is about 12-15 hours:)

  • @OrtagaFilms2 Wrong. Toronto-London is about 7.5-8 hours, and after 8 hours, FAA and Transport Canada regulations REQUIRE a third flight crewmember. At 18+ hours, you'd need four crewmembers.

  • This is a dream for pilots who just got their commercial license and are flying commercial

  • I don't understand why the emergency landing was needed. They flew the second half of the Atlantic without problems; would it have been any more dangerous to simply go to the original destination?

  • Sounds kinda far fetched to me.

  • retard

  • @suddenz not enuf hours? im sure she is thinking in that direction for the future

  • Why did they need to make an emergency landing in Shannon? How much longer would the stewardess be the stand in copilot if they went on to London as scheduled? I understand wanting to land ASAP if there is an emergency but this emergency was solved in the air.

  • @motenak i was thinking the same thing.

  • @motenak im guessing the prblm wasnt the stewardess taking his place, it was the fact that there was a psychotic 58 year old man having convulsions in the cabin...

  • While a lot of flight attendants have a very solid knowledge of aviation, and some are rec pilots, it's not that common to find a FA with a commercial license.

  • Well its important, that all flight attendants just dont stow trays and tell you to upright your chair. She is accounatble for the aircarft and safety just as the Captain .Its important that all crew recognises danger before it happens.Such as funny noises, smells and fire if they can see it visually. This VIDEO is a good example .Just like a Docter and Nurse partnership that nurses observes their patients and report findings and intiate treatment/procedure .Im not just pretty

  • Karen Black was the flight attendant here too??

  • if i was there i wud land that boeing. even without a qualified license.. i play fsx lol.

  • I want this to happen on a flight I'm in so I can say I've got a PPL and fortunate enough to have some hours in a cessna mustang jet and land that son of a bitch on the ground

  • if you think being a pilot is not stressful you would be thinking wrong. As a passenger on long flights on hot sunny days i have noticed just how hot it can feel up there at altitude along with the increased uv exposure. I wreckon it could drive you crazy up there. its a different enviroment up there entirely and it can affect people emotionally being up there. it like a completly different world being up there. sometimes i think the cabin pressure is enough to drive you nuts

  • Hahah, fucking canadians

  • @ih3artstuff you had a president like Goerge Bush and yoyu are saying fucking Canadians..lol

  • @stevezane you jelly because you're our top hat? Lulz.

  • @ih3artstuff Bro, all I can say is make a prayer because hat or head we are at risk at the moment..Yellow stone looks like its having lots of activity....pray that it will not blow..because we are both history.

  • @stevezane I'm on the opposite side of the country, but you can have fun with that!

  • @ih3artstuff fun???

  • 58 years old and First Officer. WOW!!

  • i wan't this to happen while i'm on a Flight :/ I Love planes. xD been flying flight sims for 3 yrs now with PMDG wilco 777 and whatnot. PMDG 747-400 CLS 747-200 PIC 737-300/400/500 Series ( wich are pretty much the same thing LoL :D ) i'd be great to give a hand in the Cockpit with one who actually Knows how to fly an aircraft

  • @nikthepilot I will be sure that you know all the controls in a plane and know how to land one, but the feel is different. You're not moving while playing on PC, but you are on the plane. The response is also different. In reality, if you disconnect autopilot on a windy day, the plane could go out of control if you don't hold on to the joystick. By the way do you play FSX. I do. Do you know where to download a good quality A380 with nice virtual cocpit for free?

  • @GameMaster2565 yh, i took all those factors in -count.. or maybe not.. Yes, i play FSX :DD well, the best Airbus A380 out there.. Is the WILCO AIrbus A380 V2... :D i don't have it.. Cuz i think airbus is harder to fly then Boing :DD, Anyways. Check on Thepiratebay(dot)com or file(dot)sh

  • @nikthepilot I have the abacus A380. You should try flying the A380. It's fun. It's actually not hard to fly at all, easier than all other planes! Very stable, hard to stall but quick stall recovery, flies faster and higher, very stable, and very responsive. Besides, isn't it cool to fly the world's biggest passenger jet!!!!!

  • @GameMaster2565 the ABACUS airbus A380.. no wait.. ALL of abacuses software are fucking unrealistic and they SUCK. and airbus A380 doesn't takeoff with 118 knots..? Stall speed of Airbus A320 is 112 Knots.. Dude, let me yust tell you right now.. abacus is not the way to go, wilco is the way to go :D

  • @nikthepilot For my abacus, the takeoff speed is around 185 knots. Maybe there're different versions of abacus A380? The virtual cockpit sucks, but the response is realistic according to what A380 pilots say and comparing it to 747. Anyway, you know when you land a plane, a voice in the cocpit will say 50, 40, 30... When I land, it doesn't say that. How do you turn that mode on? And, if you register the game, can you install the game again if you reinstall the system on your computer?

  • -Tell the captain that we need to land. This Co-pilot needs to be takin to a hospital.

    -A hospital? What is it?

-It's a building full of patients. But that's not important right now. When can we land.

    -Not too sure.

    -Can u take a guess?

    -Not for another two hours.

-You can't take a guess for another two hours?

-No. We can't land for another two hours.

  • Airplane one of the best comedy movies..

    >O

  • @MegaConmaster

Flight Attendant: I guess i picked the wrong week to stop sniffing glue!

  • @MegaConmaster nice, finish it off..
