Wong said Leslie represents the professionalism and perfectionism in HK showbiz. Maggie Cheung recalled that Leslie practiced on his footsteps when filming TDOBW bc he wanted the sound from his footsteps to be dramatic as well.
Leslie wanted the storyline and rythm undercutting his footsteps. Wong also said that he was not gonna do the filming for Leslie's life bc Leslie is a special and irreplaceable soul and he already left a legacy for us which is his music and movies.
I wish there were a video of Astor & his band performing Rough Dancer & the Cyclical Night live - it's one of the most beautiful pieces of music ever written
I agree, maybe there is one, and hopefully someone will put it up on youtube one day like his other tracks. This is my favourate piazzolla track, it's almost as if it's minimal piazzolla, stripped down the the bear elements that make his music great.

super pelicula y la musica de Astor, es como todas las veces tan profundamente penetrante tanto en el alma como en el corazon.
gran trabajo por parte de Won Kar-Wai y de Tony Leung como siempre.
