I don't know who you are but with your help I "got it done!!!" A million thanx, and great muzak as well. Another vid had the password thing wrong on smbpasswd with a lot of talking. A couple pauses of your vid to backtrack and keep up, I just mimicked your actions and BOOYAH, file sharing between my Ubuntu lappie and XP desk. You DA MAN!!!
