  • I will never understand why AC/DC didn't replace the tragically departed Bon Scott with this guy. He sounds almost identical to Bon, when he wants to. Check out the very first Krokus album and you'll hear it. He's a dead ringer for Bon.

  • I have been listening to this song for many many years but now I realized this song is similar to Riot in sound.Such a nice surprising.

  • This is close to what I saw on the same show...only Fernando was playing a blue and white strat which he trashed with an ax. Anybody know whee that clip is?

  • @gundamrob that's gotta be 'hot spots' from one vice tour tv appearance!!

  • @gundamrob not sure, but the costumes and the song is from head hunter tour, i saw them at least five times, the first with judas priest in 1982 sreaming across texas tour. a very good live band. loved them.

  • @gundamrob i remember the usa network used to show concerts....that was the first time i saw krokus...i remember almost at the end a mask man gives fernando an axe and he stabs it thru the middle...the the bass player puts a soldier helmmet on some guy...and starts drumming on his head...i still remmeber that show...the usa network is now tbs.....

  • what a great post!

  • kingfowley, do you remember les paul on that show? also ted nugent. my mom worked on the show so i went to a bunch of them.

  • Thanks for posting this badass band! I saw them on their Ballroom Blitzt tour back in the day with Sammy Hagar as the headliner in Detroit!

  • Wow! I thought it was lip-synched at first. Sure is nice

to see someone who can prove WAY beyond any doubt,

that he did record it and he could do it again. I'm still mad about

Ballroom Blitz, but he just made my "Top Five Live" Brian Johnson

    shoud be so ashamed,.

  • HEADHUNTER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! lol poor stratocaster at the end

  • one of the best on live

  • Sex and drugs and rock n roll that's my cup of tea!!!

  • I remember this show. Aired in March of 1983. One of the best heavy bands in the early 80's.

  • He sounds just like Bon Scott!

  • @tymbershade he was actually considered for the AC/DC job after Scott died

  • @tymbershade He was offered an audition by AC/DC but he turned it down thinking Krokus was gonna blow up huge.I saw him talking about this on youtube somwhere just can't remember.I bet he says oops all the time!Lol

  • WTF??? Where's the destruction part????

  • Rock and Roll tonight was a true rock show. I remember staying up on sunday nights to watch it in the 80's. A lot of bands got their first national attention from it. I remember the band "Sparks" played and the keyboard playing stripped to his underwear! "Awesome". Rock and Roll! Does anyone know how to get video on this show?

  • Awsome fucking band!! Dude almost forgot the second verse.....true pro..

  • Yep... when 80's Metal was kickin ass. One of all time favorite albums.

  • I agree.....the sound of REAL musicians

  • Von Arb

  • But Steve Pace was only with them 'til 83' ;) But I totally agree with you, Headhunter is so freakin' heavy! Best album of Krokus!

  • I had forgotten how good these guys were. cool stuff.

  • 80's fuckin' rule!

  • Oh, shit! I aint' heard this in years. This was one of my favorite tapes. Still rocks.

  • I totally agree with you, except for one thing: Malta is an island near Sicily, not the UK ;)

  • I agree. Both were great records. I wonder just how much their lack of an identifiable image had to do with them not being as big as other bands. Bands like Crue, Ratt, Poison had great records, but some of their success was due to their image. Krokus never really pushed one. They just went out & played.

    They've got lotsa good songs.

  • i saw the tor both krokus and def leppar kicked ass on it. last good leppard tour and last good krokus tour as well

  • @kingfowley Yeah, I seen that same tour in '83 it was my first show ever. They kinda pussed on the next album considering how heavy Headhunter was, but it was still pretty good.

  • Thats Steve Pace playing drums, Mark Kohler on rythm guitar, Chris Von Rohr on bass. Chris was fired at the end of 1983, Kohler played bass on the Blitz.

  • Hey where you live? I'm in Des Moines anywhere near?

  • I remember Squire was great on that show Quiet Riot did Mental Health and Hatchet in their prime Dude! Upload more pleeeease!!!

  • i do have the whole concert, they actually were on twice!

other bands i remember on there varied from molly hatchet, quiet riot, billy squier, quarterflash and berlin!

  • Rough Cutt, Ratt and Y&T were on the show also.

  • @kingfowley Wow! I thought it was lip-synched at first. Sure is nice

  • This is how music is meant to be performed live. Everyone with an instrument playing to the max - no one with head sets dancing around lip syncing. Rock And Roll Tonight was a great show for the short time it was on. Great Video. Do you have any others? I know they did a great version of Screamin' In The Night.

  • Whow ! Fernando has used a bit too much his hairdryer
