This track is called "THE NEW STONE AGE", it is the opening track to the album "ARCHITECTURE AND MORALITY" released in 1981. Do yourself a favour and buy it.
@depreciousMODE The whole album is a GEM, nobody won't skip any track, the album is perfect as it is. I remember I bought the album only for this track, because of its tribal sounds and strange noises like pushing tables or heavy furnitures rubbing against the floor. After that, the album seem more melodic, ethereal and magical. It's like riding a magic carpet running throught colorful and dreamy landscapes like Souvenir and Sealand, to epic anthems like Maid of Orleans
Saw OMD in Plymouth and Cardiff last month - they were absolutely awesome. New Stone Age is my favourite track, can't understand why nobody dances to it!
Going to see them tomorrow night, I really hope they play this song, one of my faves along with She's Leaving. Unfortunately I couldn't get to the A&M tour so I'm doing the Best Of one.
Really brings back memories of the Empire that night... That was the last track that anyone sat down. My hand's still hurt from clapping. Absolutely superb gig! Thanks for sharing!
Mal is a friend of mine, he produced and recorded my song "Far Far Away" which I wrote for my daughter. Check it out on my vids? I am a keyboard player and influenced by the mighty O.M.D.
Hope you like it. Get in touch if you want info on Mal, and O.M.D. thank you.
i cannot believe how fierce this song still is!!! gives me goosebumps!!

This comment has received too many negative votes show
Gary Numans synth sound was far more powerfull than OMDs, but Architecture & Morality is a great album nonetheless.

Great stuff, and it looks like it was filmed right next to me. In fact, I believe I am the guy who says "wooo" at the beginning.
Rob, nice to see your big head again :-)
