Não faz muito tempo que comecei a ouvir esta cantora a Rumer, mas estou adorando seu estilo músical, me lembra muito a Karen dos Carpenters a sua voz é tão suave como a dela, espero que a Rumer possa trazer um pouco mais de qualidade ao nosso cenário músical, pois a coisa está bem feia nestes últimos tempos, por causa desta música industrializada, algo feito só pra vender e não para encantar...

KC had some sort of divine gift. Rumer is the nearest I've heard to this. I hope she will cover great material [Bacharach, or Jim Webb to the rescue?]. This is nice tho'. She's so musical, she needs super-chords and structure for her voice to weave in amongst. For me, she's superior as an artist to her contemps. by quite some way.

I'm sorry but Karen Carpenter had a beautiful contralto voice. I don't hear the notes sung by Rumer as being spot on key, no comparison then.

There is some resemblance in the sibilance but that's it then !

Saw her last night for the first time live at DeMontfort Hall, I was knocked out. She and the excellent four piece with her were the support to Jools Holland's Big Band. I agree with chraze1, my first reaction was Karen Carpenter but I think there is also some KD Lang in there too plus something else all her own. Refreshing and very very good.

I love this woman's voice. yes initially I thought of Karen Carpenter, but there is something else.  She has lived this and the words are from the heart. I am listening to the album all the time. I love the christian lyrics too. Interesting. I want to hear more of Rumer.

Carpenter certainly had a unique voice and I hear the similarity, but Rumer's sophisticated phrasing & musical sensibility puts her in a different league altogether, IMHO.

who'd have thought after all these years and the evolution of music we'd still be desperate to hear the echoes of Karen Carpenter, and it's just arrived!, In my humble opinion, many people can attempt to emulate K.C. but no-one but no-one has her phrasing and breath technique, yet this cracking new talent seems to have captured the sounds of old and made them fresh and new!!! and i'm 38 in case anyone wondered!!!!! happy listening!!!! x

stylized than KC... she DEFinitely has her own sound... a really WONderful voice-

and it's hard to go wrong when you have a tune this great- but Rumer certainly

brings the goods. I think she will have a great career, if she can come up w/ tunes

that are as good as this!! I have heard Burt Bacharach wants to work w./ her-

just imagine what Those 2 could do !!

Love this song. Her unique style of singing is off course very reminiscent of Karen Carpenter. Feels very jazzy too. This is still my favourite song from Rumer.
