between Ultimate compound/swirlx/ultimate polish, there is not a better or worst compound/polish, it's simply what you need to correct. e.g. I can remove weeds with an explosive, but do I need to use explosive? Abrasive level from highest to least respectively: m105>Ultimate compound>Swirlx> m205, Ultimate polish. I <3 D151

@chipper0059 should be fine....only need to use this when needed....if you protect with wax or a sealant, you should not have to worry.

@hotzone84 The UP (ultimate polish) is more similar to m205 but I believe it has more oil, thus hybrid system between m205 finish with m07 glaze effect. Swirlx are recommended to be used with DA or by hand. It is my understanding you do not let polish/compound "dry" before removal with a MF towel.

thanks .....but i have few question concern the buffing pad .... plz correct me if im wrong ..-im using w-4000 wool pad with the diamond cut compound and i use the same pad with swiril X.....correct me plz if im using the wrong pad .....secound i get to know about a prouducts it called machine glaze 3 ...how and where and when i could use it and what buffing pad i need to use with it ....

@lionfadi The W4000 pad is correct with diamond cut compound 84/85 but WRONG for SwirlX. SwirlX should be used by the yellow polishing pad and the DA machine for maximum aggressiveness with this product. M03 is a traditional product and is for polishing traditional paints usually on older vehicles. This is to be used with either the polishing or finishing pads.

@lionfadi Yes, Tech Wax 2.0 can be used by hand and DA. After SwirlX you should use a wax such as gold class OR Tech Wax 2.0. No worries....glad I can be of help! :D

@grafftodatrack yes it should.....it is going to depend on if its a single stage paint. If it is, I would recommend products like deep crystal polish or some of our pro products.......it really depends on how well maintained your paint is and what kind of condition it is in.

i was thinking about getting 6 coats of clear coat when i get a paint job for super shine/gloss. is that a good idea or bad?

you get shine when you polish your vehicle. if you want high shine and extreme gloss and a wet look, putting more clearcoat on your car is not going to work at doing that.

I guess I will settle for the default 3 coats of clear coat and not 6. I just want the car to look super shiny and glossy and wet, and i need to know the best way to achieve that look for the longest possible time.

our gold class carnauba plus with protective polymers will give you an awesome wet look and to maintain that use ultimate quik wax for a wax booster and to wash, use meguair's wash and wax or gold class shampoo and conditioner.

hey thanks for the info! so this is how i will do it after i receive the car from the body shop with the new paint job. i will first wash with gold class shampoo and conditioner or meguairs wash and wax then I will use gold class carnauba plus with protective polymers then the final step I will use the ultimate quik wax (dont know what company that is) Do I have all these steps right? please correct me if im wrong. thanks again!

if youre wanting the best shine possible. tell your painter to put on 4 or 5 coats of clear so youll have enough coats to wetsand when u get it back. then wetsand with a 1000 grit then 1500 then 2000 grit. after that buff the car with Meguiars ultimate compound and a polish of your choice. it should look like a perfect mirror when youre done.

If your swirls are deep, it is going to take several passes with a DA or even by hand. If you want deepness of color that would be Ultimate Compound or even professional products if the swirls are very very deep.
