  • Great Tribute!

  • I am for anything or any one that tells or shows that Hank Williams was and is the greatest singer/song wrighter of all time thnks for the tribute Hank Williams Rizer

  • Who wrote this song. Your Grandpa sings it real well. As far as confederates and many of there beliefs, Hank Williams as many may know, had nothing against blacks. One if his first influences was Tee Tot, a black musician. He gave a black man some money once, just because he cared for him. No sir, hank wasn't prejudice. He cared, and you could hear it in his music.

  • So this isn't Hank Williams. Is this a tribute then?

  • get your bunness takecareof cuse too tomorrow youmybe died

  • thanks again for the positive comments...and for the negative ones...we dont really care what you think, just look at the statistics on the video.

I have a picture of me My grandfather and Hanks manager when i was about 3 or four... It makes me happy to know that this video has been enjjoyed over 100,000 times. • I remember as a little boy in Conifer Colorado. I was only 4 ( four ) when my parents bought my first cowboy boots. I listened to Hank Williams Sr. I loved his songs. I then over the years watched as Hank Jr met with Kid Rock, and how things in life have changed. I would love to hear more music from Sr. again! This man was the start of many songs today. Not sure if Hank Sr. would like all the songs, but I just have to say, I would love to hear some of his original songs again!

  • Love this.,.....Great Job!!

  • So sweet. What a touching tribute. RIP Hank.

  • every one of the great one die way to young....

  • It is a huge priviledge to live and be able to enjoy Hanks singing. Thank You much.

  • In 1967, I was 7yr. old. i heard Hank for the first time. He was singing, "Low Down Blues". From that moment on, I was hooked. The sadness in his voice could not be ignored. I'm still amazed at the resounding applause he gets when he's mentioned at a concert. As long as people listen to Hank, he'll live on.

  • I believe thats what hank himself would say

  • Ive been listening to Hank since I was a kid. while other kids my age were listening to MJ and Prince, I would listen to Hank williams with my dad WEARY BLUES AND MANSION ON THE HILL PROBABLY SUMMERIZE HANK THE BEST!! RIP!!

  • Long live Hank Williams...the greatest country singer of them all.

  • this is got to be one of the sadest days in anyone life that knew or listen to the great hank williamswhen i heard he died it was a very sad day for me

  • I think this is a wonderful tribute for as long as this world shall last. Today's country is nothing compared to this era's songs and singers. This brings a tear to my eyes as the times have changed too much.

  • i totally agree with you country was country in those days i wish he wouldnt have ever died but i reckon god needed him for somethin

  • What a beautiful Sad song about a man who gave

his heartfelt songs and what an amazing resitation from Mr. Bob Hamm. Thanks for sharing this awesome song.God Bless......Eddie

  • This is beautiful. How could anyone criticize this song? There is no shame in being proud of the Confederacy contrary to the beliefs of the brainwashing media.if there's anything wrong with the South ,why are so damn many Yankees moving down here?

  • @willconow You couldnt be righter! Im on my way! Have u listened to his grand son Hank III? Hank Williams will bring a tear to a glass eye and Hank III will fill your fist with pride! But Jr. can kiss my ass. GOOD coment. I dont know ya but I love ya. And pop country singers today dont know the fist thing about sarow and low. Jr.s a sell out

  • spiritually hank knew where he was heading he wanted so much to take all of his friends with him that day he knew god more intamatley than anyone could imagine may we all; be blessed

and for me it's where the best music came!

i wish that 's it was you try to tell

    bonsoir

  • I dont understand the second to last line of your comment, but to the rest of it, Amen, thats exactly what I've been saying, but for some reason everyone thinks I'm trying to associate it with racism, just a bunch of idiots who cant even distinguish between a question and a statement.

  • Comment removed

  • @fightinthesystem Closed mined fucks thats all. IGNERANCE!

  • Oh this is great! Confederate flag Long may she reign! that flag stands for something besieds hate and racism get off it people.fightinthesystem your right in defending it. it was earned.

  • I was 15 when Hank Dyed. And love all his song. There is some on you tube I never heard. I know there will never be another Hank. May He rest in peace and his songs be played foreever. Thanks for the post about his life.

  • AWESOME! Well Written, Sang,& Spoken.

  • that flag should fly high we americans dont have many rights that is our heritage all americans should honor it thanks for the great song

  • that is a awsome song and singing

    sounds just like ole hank

  • Man I tell ya what when I first heard this I thought it was Hank singing, but you tell your Grandpa for me that I said he did one hell of a job with this song, and it almost made me cry. Tell your grandpa to keep on doing what he is doing cause I am sure Hank himself would be proud

  • The way I see it, even though Hank was picked by God to suffer more than most people, there was a purpose to it. if he didn't suffer the way he did he wouldn't have been able to write the songs we all know and love. God bless him and God rest Hanks poor soul, RIP.

  • hank williams one of the wisest men tht ever lived

  • I was born a year after Hank died butttttt all my life I was trying to immitate the immortal man.Aside from Elvis he was my my favorite entertainer, writer, singer.I for one thank you from my heart for putting this on your channel.God Bless.Eddie

  • I was just a young country boy when HANK died,we all loved Mr.Hank Williams Sr.,,and his passing broke many a heart.

As for the flag, racism is in the mind and heart, not a flag.

A change of mind and heart, the flag will have no meaning.

The US is so divided it just might fall apart.

  • I've never heard that it was illegal to fly a confederate flag before. I disagree with you strongly that it has any semblance to a nazi swastika since the southern states fought for independence from taxation rather than seeking dominance over neighbors and killing jews en-masse for racial beliefs.

  • @nurseguy7581 Like I said. Ignerance man. You cant fix it. Your Damn Right-N-Rebel Proud. Check out his grandson Hank III if you have`nt yet. Its the shit! He sticks up for Sr. more than Jr. does. Oh yea I dont think he does at all. Fuckin sell out!

  • Once and for all, this is NOT THE VOICE OF HANK WILLIAMS. There were a couple hundred Hank tributes, from the day he was buried until crap like this. Perhaps well intentioned, but tawdry imitations of the real thing. What's the point? Lets remember Hank Williams in his own voice. As for the Confederate Flag, it's no different than to fly a swastiska. They are both flags of vanquished powers, and though it's never enforced, it's actually illegal to fly the Confederate Flag anywhere in the US.

  • Actually it's NOT illegal to fly a Rebel Flag in the US. We have a little thing called the "First Amendment"...

  • @signjay are you serious signjay?! I agree with BurningMartyrCarcass. Your a fuckin idiot! Holly shit! Excuse my french Hank but this has to be the dumbest fuckin coment on this video. You are obviuosley fuckin ignerent to the world. No wait a minute STUPID!

  • @signjay By the way dumb fuck, nobody said this was the voice of Hank williams. Do you know the meaning of the word tribute? The wrighter and singers name is right in plain view. WOW!!!! Hes tryin to show the guy some honor. DAMN!!! TRIBUTE!!!

  • This is a very moving recitation. I am now and always have been since the age of 15 and always will be a big fan of Hank Williams Sr. This song is his greatest yet.

I love all his songs. This song really moved me to tears. Play on Hank, on that big stage in the sky, forever and ever, A-Men.

  • Thank you very much for the comment but Hank didnt write this. It is my granfather who wrote and sung it. well actually his friend gene lamb wrote it but its my grandpa singin

  • @dudeholysh1t awesome it has a beyond the sunset feel..... so who was your grandfater??

  • @dudeholysh1t you being serious?!?!

Just gotta say this song is amazing, thanks for uploading

  • thanks 4 this

  • God bless your grandfather!

  • if i could sing like this old legend i would be amillion air to

  • WTF is this?

  • THIS IS NOT HANK!!!

    DICKHEAD

  • @cashperth NO SHIT?! SHERLOCK!!

  • Great effort, Hank would be proud

  • wonderful song , very well done :)

  • Gods Speed Hank Capteddie

  • I remember my parents listening to Hank Williams songs when I was a little girl. Thanks for the tribute video:)

  • Well I remember Hank, I think it sounds alot like him and enjoyed it very much. Thanks for the memoreys.

  • morroyce21 needs to do less research on Hank and more on the confederate flag.

  • Great

  • I am offended that you put a picture of the Confederate flag, and then proceeded to make a tribute to Hank Williams Sr. Hank held progressive views towards men of all races, and if you don't believe me listen to "Men With Broken Hearts." Just because his son is an idiot redneck, does not mean that you have the right to tarnish Hank Sr's beautiful legacy.

  • Whatever, you have no clue.. III is amazing, just like his father and grandfather. They're all different, and yet so much the same. Jr sold out unfortunately, but III won't and Sr never did.

  • None of them are. HankIII rocks! Nothing redneck about him. A Black man taught Hank Sr. to play the guitar. It's sad to me that people see the Rebel Flag and immediately think racism. that's ridiculous. but still, I hate this. what a presumptuous asshat, who did this? i hope to gawd it didn't make him money!

  • I agree with you. I'm french and the people in France see the Rebel Flag an think racism. I like the Rebel Flag because the country music, blues and Rockabilly was create in the south of USA. The people don't want to understant that. Hank Williams, Johnny Cash and Hank III are the best.

  • Just on a point of clarification. Are you associating the Confederate flag with racism?

  • It's just a flag it doesn't have to mean racism.

  • heritage not hate u dumb shit

  • Ok to all you assholes who attacked me telling me that the confederate flag wasnt about racism and sending me bullshit messages, I already know that, I fly the confederate flag in my own front yard, and have done so for years, and my father did it and so did his father, you dumb asses need to take classes on basic grammatical concepts so that you can distinguish between a question and a statement, and quit sending me fucking hate messages about this bullshit.

  • You aught to be proud of your language, your mother isn't

  • great song

  • I have a great, geat, great grandfather who was a confederate general. I say and I'm sure he would say God Bless America and God bless Hank Williams.

  • @JohnnybobTexas To hell with America....maybe you need to listen to Hank's song When Fire Comes down from Heaven!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • The ONLY One speaking to us from the other side is Jesus Christ, and that through the New Testament. Anyone who thinks this is Hank needs to spend some time in the Word.

  • im not claiming this to be Hank, it is my grandfather singing, he wrote it about 10 years ago as a tribute to hank

  • @dudeholysh1t then why title it "Hanks Last broadcast?"

  • Amen. This ain't him.

  • @rll1954 Ever heard of drama? Or is that against your religion?

  • WOW! This is actually Hank singing this? This is WAY eeerie to hear this.
