Ppl ... what about the US high speed rail??? We have the Acela... It's got a snack bar that serves hotdogs and beer. The seats are so cool, you can flip the backrest the other side so passengers can face each other. Traveling from nyc to boston only takes 6 to 7 hrs, and you don't have to worry about traffic.. The Acela also has electric outlets you can plug your laptop. Due to the high speed, internet connection breaks once in a while, but it's high speed. The Acela is the best in the world!!
@aretgil on TGV for record nothing was serial...another Trafos....capable of cooling only for a short time. Acceleration was lousy...because recordTGV needs wheels with increase diameter. It was a faboulos record...no question...but the fastest train in service is Transrapid with 400kph ...and Velaro-E (version of ice3) with 350kph in service (spain) and over 420kph in testing (also the serial version)

呢架一定唔係高鐵，我相信係比高鐵還要恐怖，拍得住飛機或者超越飛機的磁浮列車，磁浮列車達到500 km/h 比高鐵快咁強.,. 基本上由香港中環去到福田用磁浮可以5分鍾內到達..
