Man he was so fast and quick. Sedrick Shaw was my favorite hawk back but Banks was unbelievable. I was at that Tulsa game when he broke the hawk record. I was prolly 16 and had knothole seats so me and my bud could see every hole open up for him. Lot of this vid had those Tulsa highlights. Great memories. Understatement
In 2006-2007, Tavian Banks was on the coaching staff of the University of Louisville Cardinals as the assistant running backs coach, which is not surprising since former Louisville head coach Bobby Petrino was Banks’ offensive coordinator during his days as a Jaguar. I think he is the running back coach for the the New York Giants.
In 2002 Tavian Banks worked out for the New Orleans Saints, but despite having a good workout, he decided to retire due to chronic knee problems. However, from 2003-2004, Banks decided to attempt a comeback again, and was on and off the New Orleans Saints roster being placed on the practice squad in 2003 and finally waived in 2004 at the end of the preseason.
My brother was named after him

Banks tore the ACL, PCL, and LCL in his left knee and missed over two years due to surgery and rehab

This video is misleading. Banks ran for 2,977 running yards at Iowa during his CAREER (1994-97), not in a single season!
